And so another "Farewell to Summer" music night took place, leaving behind countless memories for the graduating students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.“Memories will forever remain in our hearts, the joyful days we spent together. We long for the day we meet again…. Farewell, and we’ll meet again tomorrow…” These lyrics by Pham Thi Phuong Thao (K53BCTT) brought to a close another touching “Summer Farewell” evening at the Me Tri Dormitory Cultural Center on June 24, 2011. “Summer Farewell” is an annual cultural program organized by the Youth Union and Student Association of the university, as a gift for graduating students. And this time, the students who received this “gift” were the K52 cohort (QH-2007-X). Attending the program were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu (Vice Rector of the university) and Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu (Head of Student Affairs Department), along with representatives from the Executive Committee of the Youth Union and Student Association of the university. Also at the program, the Student Union and Youth Union commended and rewarded students with outstanding academic achievements and excellent participation in Youth Union and Student Union activities throughout the 2007-2011 academic year.
The musical performances at "Farewell to Summer 2011" captivated the audience not only with the very expressive voices of the SOL Club members but also with their extremely engaging presentation. The songs were skillfully strung together to create a coherent story with scenes recreating the student life from childhood, the first days of school, to graduation today.
