A workshop on Asia Pacific's Responsibility to Protect is planned.

On June 17, 2011, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Rector of the University - met and worked with Dr. Noel M. Mordar - Executive Director of the Asia Pacific Centre for Responsible Defence Studies, School of International and Political Science, University of Queensland, Australia.During the meeting, leaders from both sides discussed the organization of a workshop on Asia-Pacific Defence Responsibility, tentatively scheduled for 2012 in Vietnam, with the participation of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi and the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam. The Asia-Pacific Defence Responsibility Research Center is currently conducting a research program on Vietnam's Asia-Pacific defence responsibility. In March 2011, the Center organized a workshop in New York, USA, to share the initial recommendations of the Security Cooperation Council within the Asia-Pacific Channel II Study Group.
