
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh delivered the opening remarks at the seminar.
The program aims to introduce young faculty members to various teaching methods, as well as factors influencing teaching methods at the university level in the current period. It also connects and creates a forum for academic exchange among young faculty members throughout the university regarding practical experiences in using university teaching methods. The focus is on the adaptability of these methods to the psychology and values of modern learners.
Attending the seminar were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Prof. Dang Canh Khanh, Director of the Institute for Communication and Development Research; Dr. Ton Quang Cuong, Head of the Faculty of Education, University of Education, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; and all the young lecturers and staff from the faculties and departments of the university.
In his opening remarks, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh, Vice Rector of the University, emphasized that this is a very important activity, as the topic of the seminar is closely related to the daily activities of all faculty and staff of the University.
Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh emphasized that faculty members and scientists participating in the seminar need to adopt flexible and adaptable approaches, placing the term "learner-centered" within the context and conditions of Vietnam.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is undergoing a process of reform, and certainly, reforming teaching methods is one of the important measures to improve the quality of education at the University, helping it to soon achieve its orientation as a research university.
The seminar revolved around two main themes: Theme 1 - the life values of contemporary learners and their impact on the selection of effective teaching methods at the university level; Theme 2 - Some effective teaching methods at the university level.
