Humanities students gave their all at the 7th Oriental Night.

On the evening of November 21, 2015, at the Me Tri Dormitory (182 Luong The Vinh, Thanh Xuan), the 7th Oriental Night was a resounding success, attracting a large number of humanities students.

Humanities students gave their all at the 7th Oriental Night.

As part of the activities celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Faculty, at 7:30 PM on November 21, 2015, at the Me Tri Dormitory Cultural Center, the Faculty of Oriental Studies' Student Union and Student Association organized the "Oriental Night" program, which attracted nearly 1000 guests.

Attending the Oriental Night were:Assoc. Prof. Dr.Nguyen Quang Minh - Vice Principal of the school; Comrade Tran Bach Hieu - Secretary of the school's Youth Union; Dr. Luu Tuan Anh - Head of the Department of Oriental Studies; Mr. Vijay Kumar - Deputy Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India - Cultural and Educational Attaché. In addition, nearly 1000 students, alumni, lecturers of the Department of Oriental Studies and audience members interested in the Oriental Night program also participated.

The Oriental Night is a highlight of the Department of Oriental Studies, held every three years. It is a massive event, meticulously and elaborately staged.

This year, the 7th Oriental Night is held with the theme: Festival, featuring the participation of five disciplines within the Faculty of Oriental Studies: Japanese Studies, Korean Studies, Chinese Studies, Thai Studies, and Chinese Studies.

Based on different storylines about their respective countries, students from five majors staged performances with unique characteristics and styles, bringing exciting and eye-catching shows to the audience. Energetic and vibrant Korean cover dances, traditional Thai lakhon, martial arts-inspired Japanese dances, fiery Bollywood dances from India, and graceful and elegant Chinese dances were all performed right here in Vietnam, on the Me Tri Dormitory stage.

Dressed in vibrant, colorful costumes, the students of the Department of Oriental Studies showcased their talents like professional dancers, drawing admiration and praise from the entire audience. From the sound and lighting to the costumes and the staging of the performances, everything was meticulously crafted, reflecting the hard work and dedication of both faculty and students of the Department of Oriental Studies.

All 720 tickets for the show sold out within a week. Many audience members even chose to stand to fully enjoy the performances at the Oriental Night. This demonstrates the extraordinary appeal of the Oriental Night.
