Pierre Daum: French scholar and journalist, contributor to the Monde Diplomatique (Diplomatic World). He specializes in the history of French Indochina. His book, *Immigrés de force: Les travailleurs indochinois en France (1939 – 1952)*, was published by Actes Sud in 2009. The Youth Publishing House in Ho Chi Minh City acquired the rights to print it in Vietnamese in 2010. (Photo: NA/USSH)
