The seminar "Perspectives and Solutions for Building and Developing Intellectual Resources to Serve the Cause of National Revival in the 21st Century" was held this morning, April 2nd, 2010, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
The seminar "Perspectives and Solutions for Building and Developing Intellectual Resources to Serve the Cause of National Revival in the 21st Century" was held this morning, April 2nd, 2010, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.This is the fourth workshop within the framework of the project “Building and Developing Vietnam’s Intellectual Resources to Serve the Cause of National Revival in the 21st Century”, project code KX. 03.22/06-10, chaired by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh. Many leading experts from various scientific fields such as philosophy, history, political science, sociology, psychology, and culture participated in the workshop. Twenty reports were presented. The reports focused on the following main issues: - Clarifying some theoretical issues regarding intellectual resources and their role in the cause of national revitalization; - Studying policies on training and utilizing intellectual resources in Vietnam throughout history, thereby drawing useful lessons for building and developing Vietnam’s intellectual resources today; - Studying the experiences of some countries in building and developing intellectual resources, proposing appropriate experiences that can be applied to Vietnam. - Assessing the achievements and limitations of the Party and State's policies in building and developing Vietnam's intellectual resources over the past period, and based on that, proposing some fundamental viewpoints and solutions to create breakthroughs in this work. From different scientific perspectives, experts exchanged and discussed to reach consensus on core issues in the approach as well as the content of the issue of intellectual resources and the role of this resource in the cause of national development.
