Students collect and exchange instant noodle shells for "Good Volunteer" quota

The “Instant noodle shell collection” project started in early April, when the whole country implemented social distancing to limit the spread of COVID-19. The activity is part of the “My Volunteer Class” contest within the “My Class is Number One” contest organized by the Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU Hanoi) for students and lecturers in the school, especially aiming at environmental protection activities.

Each individual who collects 10 instant noodle shells within the specified time will be granted a certificate of completion of the "Good Volunteer" criterion in the "5 Good Students" criteria set.

Realizing that the mentality of hoarding food, instant noodles, rice, canned food, etc. will release into the environment noodle packaging, rice packaging, soft drink cans, and various types of newspapers, the group came up with the idea of ​​collecting and recycling them.

Ms. Hoang Thi Thao, Vice President of the Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, said: This is one of the volunteer activities of the Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU Hanoi). Each individual who collects 10 instant noodle shells within the prescribed time will be granted a certificate of completion of the "Good Volunteer" criterion in the "5 Good Students" criteria.

After collecting and receiving instant noodle shells from students, they will be classified.

The purpose is to protect the environment, promote the beautiful image of union members and students through practical and close volunteer activities, creating a green, clean and beautiful environment.

The activity was enthusiastically received by students and faculty.

As part of the "My Class is Number 1" 2020 series of activities, with the theme "Shell or Throw?", the program in collaboration with the "Recycling Hero" project helps raise awareness of environmental protection, aiming to change students' behavior to create a clean and friendly living environment.

In addition, products made from recycled instant noodle shells by deaf children will be sold to raise funds for environmental protection. This fund is used to plant trees, maintain recycling activities, organize seminars, environmental events and raise public awareness.
