This year's program series is themed "Understanding Yourself - Choosing the Right Career - Taking the Right Direction," with the participation of representatives from the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training) and admissions and career guidance experts from institutions nationwide.
At the program, Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Training, shared important information related to the 2026 university entrance exam. According to Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung, this is the second year students will participate in the high school graduation exam under the 2018 General Education Program, therefore the admission methods of higher education institutions are expected to be adjusted to better suit the development of students' competencies as well as the requirements of the labor market.
As a member of the program's Advisory Board, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hong Son - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - directly answered many questions from students and parents regarding admission plans, training programs, and career opportunities in fields of study within the social sciences and humanities.

According to information from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in 2026, the university will recruit students for 28 undergraduate programs using three admission methods: direct admission and priority admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; admission based on the results of the Hanoi National University's Competency Assessment Exam (HSA) that are still valid; and admission based on the results of the high school graduation exam.
Sharing his thoughts at the program, Nguyen Quang Huy, a 12th-grade student from Hung Vuong Specialized High School in Phu Tho province, said he was particularly interested in the Psychology major at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. “After researching, I found that Psychology is very suitable for my interests and career aspirations. Through today's counseling session, I understand more about the admission process and study opportunities at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. I hope that this year I will achieve my goal of becoming a student at the university,” Huy shared.
Nguyen Quang Huy, a student from Hung Vuong Specialized High School, came to learn about Psychology at the 2026 Admissions and Career Guidance program.
At the consultation booths, faculty and students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities provided detailed information on the new aspects of the 2026 admissions process, introduced training programs, and advised students on choosing suitable majors based on their abilities, personal strengths, and the development trends of society in the context of digital transformation. The admissions information from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities received significant interest from students in Phu Tho and Ninh Binh provinces, especially for majors related to social sciences, social work, communication, culture, psychology, and international relations.
In the coming period, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, plans to continue participating in the 2026 admissions and career guidance program organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper in many provinces and cities. In addition, faculty and students from the university will also visit high school students in Hanoi to provide direct advice on this year's regular university entrance exams.

- March 8, 2026: in Hanoi;
- March 21-22, 2026: in Hai Duong and Hai Phong.
