The school-wide blood donation program Nang Hong Nhan Van, hosted by the Youth Blood Donation Team of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and professionally coordinated by the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, takes place around April and December. After 20 seasons of organization, Nang Hong Nhan Van has successfully brought in nearly 8,000 units of blood, becoming an annual volunteer event of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

The school-wide blood donation program attracted a large number of students. From very early on, many students were present to register to donate blood and share their pride in contributing a small part to the community. Van Thi Ha Thuong, who donated blood 3 times at the program, expressed:“I have participated in the program for several seasons, and each time I have been warmly welcomed. The volunteers are very professional and lovely. I am very happy to contribute my precious blood to the community.”

At the same time, the blood donation festival received support from the Youth Union - Student Association of the school and the attention of teachers, lecturers and nearly 1,000 students of the whole school. In particular, Mr. Dang Hong Son - Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanitiesdirectly came to encourage the organizing committee on the main festival day, sent words of encouragement to the volunteers and acknowledged the efforts of the Team.

The 20th Nang Hong Nhan Van recently collected 536 units of blood successfully. This is a great achievement built from the efforts of the Organizing Committee, members as well as the dedicated help from teachers and the school.

Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao, student of K68, Faculty of International Studies - Captain of the Humanities Blood Team - Head of the Organizing Committee - shared:“For me, Nang Hong Nhan Van is not just a simple voluntary blood donation program, it is also an opportunity for us to connect kind hearts and spread love. The Organizing Committee and the members of the Humanitarian Blood Team have worked together to promote blood donation with the hope of bringing back precious blood units to give to patients.”
