Sponsored by the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies (KFAS), the Asia Research Center (ARC), Vietnam National University, Hanoi, would like to announce the International Scholar Exchange Fellowship Program (ISEF) 2012 - 2013.
Object:Staff currently working at Vietnam National University, Hanoi. (Those who have done research in Korea, those who have received ISEF scholarships, and those whose main purpose is to teach in Korea are not eligible for this scholarship)
Selection criteria:
- Under 50 years old, able to do research in English or Korean
- Have a PhD or higher
(as of the time of application)
Research fields:
- Social Sciences and Humanities (Majors: Economics, Business Administration, Political Science, Public Administration, Law, Sociology, Education, Psychology, Anthropology, Journalism, Geography, Philosophy, History).
- Energy related fields: Petrochemical technology and related fields.
- Information Science and Technology: Electrical Engineering (Electronics Science), Telecommunications, Computer Science and related fields.
- Life sciences.
(Those in fields of study not listed above are not eligible for this scholarship)
Research time:
- 01 year + From September 1, 2012 to August 31, 2013
- 06 months + From September 1, 2012 to February 28, 2013; or + From March 1, 2013 to August 31, 2013
Scholarship details:
- Research support: 2,200,000 won/month (Equivalent to 26,400,000 won/year for 1-year research or 13,200,000 won/year for 6-month research)
- Thesis support of 1,000,000 won after submitting the research report at the end of the term (August 2012 for 1-year research; February 2012 or August 2012 for 6-month research)
- Initial stabilization support: 1,000,000 won. (The above support is provided directly to the scholar)
- Round-trip airfare (Economy Class). (Tickets purchased for scholars by the Asian Research Support Center)
- Enjoy insurance benefits: - Health insurance (upon request). - Accident insurance for foreigners.
- Provide optimal facilities for research.
