11. Tóm tắt các kết quả mới của luận án:
- Luận án đã tiến hành hệ thống hóa và phân tích cơ sở lý luận và thực tiễn về báo chí với vấn đề án oan sai và các khái niệm: báo chí, án oan sai, vấn đề án oan sai, báo chí với vấn đề án oan sai. Đặc biêt, luận án sử dụng hệ thống lý thuyết liên ngành (trong tâm là Báo chí học, Luật học và Đạo đức học) làm khung phân tích nhằm chỉ ra cách thể hiện của thông điệp về vấn đề án oan sai trên các kênh báo chí được quan sát và vai trò, tác động của báo chí với vấn đề án oan sai.
 - Luận án đã tiến hành thu thập thông tin về số lượng, nội dung, hình thức thông tin về vấn đề án oan sai trên các kênh báo chí trong diện khảo sát; đánh giá những thành công, hạn chế của báo chí với vấn đề án oan sai.
Trên cơ sở các kết quả nghiên cứu, luận án đề xuất các vấn đề cần tiếp tục nghiên cứu và các giải pháp góp phần nâng cao chất lượng thông tin của báo chí với vấn đề án oan sai hiện nay.
12. Khả năng ứng dụng trong thực tiễn: Kết quả nghiên cứu của luận án có thể ứng dụng cho các cơ quan báo chí xây dựng quy trình tác nghiệp để thông tin về vấn đề án oan sai có chất lượng, hiệu quả.
13. Những hướng nghiên cứu tiếp theo: Nghiên cứu sinh mong muốn được mở rộng nghiên cứu theo hướng báo chí với lĩnh vực tư pháp.

11. Summary of new results of the thesis:
- The thesis has systematized and analyzed the theoretical and practical basis of journalism with the problem of wrongful conviction and concepts: journalism, wrongful conviction, wrongful conviction problem, journalism with wrongful conviction problem. In particular, the thesis use interdisciplinary theoretical system (focusing on Journalism, Jurisprudence and Ethics) to analyze to show the expression of the message on the problem of wrongful convictions in the press channels observed and the role, impact of the press on the problem of wrongful convictions.
 - The thesis collected information about the number, content and form of information about the wrongful convictions on the press channels in the survey; evaluated the success and limitations of the press on the problem of wrongful convictions.
- Based on the research results, the thesis proposes issues to continue researching and solutions that contribute to improving the quality of information of the press with the current wrongful conviction problem.
12. Applicability in practice: The research results of the thesis can be applied to press agencies to develop a process of operation to inform about the problem of wrongful convictions with quality and effectiveness.
13. Further research directions: The PhD student wishes to expand research in the direction of journalism with the field of justice.
