On July 8th, Assoc.Prof.Dr Hoang Anh Tuan and representatives of USSH's Faculty of Oriental Studies, Faculty of Linguistics and Office for Academic Affairs welcomed the delegation from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (China) led by Vice President Chen Linhan.

Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GUFS) shares close relations with USSH in the recent years. USSH has regularly received students from GUFS to study Vietnamese language and culture at the University.

USSH's Vice Rector Hoang Anh Tuan said the University has 25 undergraduate programs and nearly 90 graduate programs in basic majors/minors such as History, Philosophy, Literature and Linguistics as well as applied ones such as Journalism, Tourism, Social work, Management Science, etc. Especially, the University is a leading institution in Vietnam teaching Vietnamese studies, language and culture. These are the foundations for further promoting cooperation between the two sides.

Leaders of the two sides agreed to continue bilateral cooperation in exchanging students and lecturers and also implementing other activities such as conducting joint research projects and common international publications.

Founded in 1965, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies has over 30,000 students. is a public university with emphasis in foreign languages and cultures, overseas economy and trade, and international strategies in Guangdong, China. The university offers 61 bachelor-degree specialties and teaches 18 foreign languages.
