On July 31st, 2019, Assoc.Prof.Dr Tran Thi Minh Hoa (USSH's Vice Rector) welcomed and worked with the delegation of School of Oriental Languages and Literature, Sichuan International Studies University (China) led by Prof.Dr Luo Wenqing (Director).

At the meeting, Prof.Dr Luo Wenqing introduced about the School of Oriental Languages and Literature, Sichuan International Studies University and mentioned some results of cooperation with USSH. The School was founded in 2006 and has around 700 students. 3rd-year students majoring Vietnamese language are allowed to study further at one of the universities in Vietnam, including USSH. According to the MOU signed between the School and USSH in 2011, after 8 semesters, the former has sent around 130 bachelor's candidates to the latter.

According to Prof.Dr Luo Wenqing, most of the students of the School have good views about the academic and living conditions, as well as the lecturers at USSH. Thus, the School hoped to continue this joint training program, especially by sending not only bachelor's but also master's and doctoral candidates to USSH in the future. Also, she suggested extending the bilateral MOU that will expire in July, 2020.

On behalf of USSH, Assoc.Prof.Dr Tran Thi Minh Hoa highly appreciated the results made so far by the two sides. With two prestigious institutions that train Vietnamese language, Faculty of Vietnamese studies and language and Faculty of Linguistics, the University welcomes and commits to provide the best conditions for the students of the School of Oriental Languages and Literature.

Sichuan International Studies University was established in 1950 and is located in Chongqing, China. It has around 15,000 students. Its structure consists of 23 departments and subordinate institutes, 2 independent institutes, 2 affiliated high schools and an international school. Offering programs in 11 foreign languages including Vietnamese, it is one of the top 8 foreign studies universities in China.
