The original value of the Danko Fellowship was 1 billion VNDs, which was granted to USSH’s students of distinguished academic performance. It was created by Mr. Tran Huu Su, an alumnus for USSH’s students in particular and the University in general. Through this event, Danko Group also expressed its desire to contribute to the development of Vietnamese youth and education.
Mr Dam Quoc Hiep (Vice President of Danko Group's Board of Managers) and Prof. Dr Pham Quang Minh signed the offcial memorandum of understanding between the two units under the witness of government officials
On behalf of USSH, Prof. Dr Pham Quang Minh expressed his sincere thanks from the University’s staff and students for such a noble deed of a businessman, a successful alumnus of the University. Thanks to such deeds, many generations of USSH’s students will have more chances to overcome difficulties and become more motivated in their study and training. The Fellowship’s introduction also strongly inspires the students in starting and cultivating their careers, and encourages a humanistic spirit inherent in community development.
With the orientation “Liberal education” and the motto “Honoring the past, embracing the future” embedded in the University’s lectures and development orientations, and the support from businesses such as Danko Group, the University’s students can not only cultivate their knowledge but also their will and thirst for conquering future challenges.
On the occasion of Vietnam Business Day (October 13th), Prof. Dr Pham Quang Minh also hoped Danko would continue to make strong leaps, validating its role as an excellent business contributing to Vietnam’s national development.
Speaking about the Fellowship’s founding concept, President of Danko Group’s Board of Managers Mr. Tran Huu Su said he wanted it to be an investment for the youth and the country's future. To promote the business’s sustainable development and expanding influence Danko would continue to call for material and moral contributions from other businesses and individuals to the Fellowship.
Sharing his emotions at the ceremony, Prof. Sc. D. Vu Minh Giang said the cooperation between a leading university in Vietnam and a business such as Danko is a bright spot and an encouraging sign of Vietnam’s educational and national development. The combination of educators and businesses would open up new opportunities for students in the future. This is also a valuable deed by an alumnus of the University, the cradle that provided him with knowledge and professional desires to be as successful as today.
Prof. Sc. D. Vu Minh Giang shares his emotions
Danko Group is a business specializing in the investment and provision of real estate services. It has 1,200 employees and over 15 branches. Danko Group offers services in the form of products such as apartment, mansion, foundation soil and resort. Starting with Hanoi, after two years, its operational market has extended to other provinces such as Thai Nguyen, Lao Cai, Bac Giang, Hai Duong, Thanh Hoa and most recently Ho Chi Minh City. The company is going to launch some new projects and increase its personnel to 2,500.
