The international scientific conference that studies gender in philosophy and culture from a comparative approach is indeed of profound scientific and practical significance, providing a multi-dimensional perspective, which can shed light on many gender issues in many aspects of Vietnamese and regional life".

In the report of the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Hung (Faculty of Philosophy, VNU-USSH) with the topic: "Gender and feminist Issues: Some Reflections" provided an overview of gender issues mentioned in philosophy,  culture and modern social practices in Vietnam as well as in the world. According to Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Quang Hung: "Gender issues and gender equality from both individual and social perspectives are common problems of many countries around the world. The implementation of gender equality and feminism in contemporary society cannot be solved overnight, much less solve the problem individually within a country and certainly needs holistic and comprehensive solutions".

The workshop was divided into 3 panels:
Panel 1: Gender Issues in Culture: Theories and Practices.
Panel 2: Gender Issues in Philosophy
Panel 3: Gender Equality: Some theoretical and practical issues
Summarizing the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan affirmed: "The workshop discussed a very interesting scientific issue, with nealy 70 scientific reports, of which more than 20 reports were presented directly, about 50 exchanges, comments, and more sharing of many researchers, lecturers and doctoral students from Vietnam and foreign universities. Gender issues are rarely discussed thoroughly in official philosophical forums.
Through the results of research on gender in philosophy, culture and religion, the reports have proposed a number of solutions to improve the position of women in society, institutions and policies on gender equality; create conditions for women to study and train professionally, participate in all aspects of social life (politics, economy, culture, science and technology, artistic creation,..). Besides, women themselves must be correct and fully aware of their role in the family and society, rise up to occupy opportunities for self-development and contribute to the development of society.
