On May 2, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, issued Decision No. 2151/QĐ-XHNV concerning the Digital Competency Framework for students at the university.

On December 15th, 2023, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh – Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU (VNU-USSH), attended " The 5th Sino – Vietnam Presidents Forum of Universities in Red River Basin " in Yunnan Province, China, hosted by Yunnan University on a rotating basis. The prior success from the business trip of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping on December 12-13, 2023 has also fueled inspiration and motivation for this 5th Forum.

On December 15, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University (VNU-USSH) organized a training course to raise awareness and prevent mental health issues for students from Middle to High schools in Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province under the guidance of psychologist experts.

November 17 - 18, 2023, within the framework of a business trip to Thailand, Prof.Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH) visited and held meetings with partners in Udon Thani Province, Northeastern region of the Kingdom of Thailand.

From October 31 to November 2, 2023, the 358th AUN-QA Program Assessment Team officially worked at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, Hanoi to conduct direct Assessments of 03 bachelor's training programs: Sociology, Psychology, and International Studies.

Within the framework of The 2023 Taiwan Higher Education Exhibition, on October 13, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU (VNU-USSH) and many other Vietnamese universities signed an MOU with universities in Taiwan on cooperation in training, scientific research, student/lecturer exchange.

The exhibition was organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU (VNU-USSH) in collaboration with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam on October 13, 2023, attracting thousands of audiences as well as universities and businesses.

On October 9, 2023, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Vietnam, Prof. Dr. Saj U.Mendis gave a scientific presentation at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Hanoi (VNU-USSH) on the topic: Vietnam's Economic Transformation during the Reform Period: Causes, Foreign Policy & Future Prospects.

On October 6, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Hanoi (VNU - USSH) had a working session with the Irish Embassy in Vietnam within the framework of educational cooperation and organized a talk show “Ireland’s Economic Transformation”.

On the afternoon of September 18, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Hanoi (VNU-USSH) organized a discussion to announce the Country Report on Vietnam with the topic "The labor market in Vietnam" (No. 6/2023) organized in cooperation with the Hanns Seidel Foundation (Germany).
