Based on the systematization of theoretical studies on gender and climate change, the thesis analyzes the impact of climate change (CC) on gender relations in local agricultural production activities, thereby building a better understanding of the impact of CC on gender equality.

The thesis analyzes the impact of climate change on gender relations in non-productive response activities, including women's participation in climate change response activities at the community level.

The thesis contributes to verifying sociological arguments related to gender and climate change in a specific research context in Vietnam, thereby contributing to additional analysis and information on sociological research on gender, climate change and environment.

The thesis makes recommendations to promote gender equality in policies and intervention programs to respond to climate change.

The local authorities of Nam Dinh province, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union can refer to this because these are government agencies that are intervening on gender equality and climate change issues.

Based on the systematization of theoretical research on gender and climate change, the thesis analyzes the impact of climate change to productive activities in agriculture from gender perspective to better understand on the impact of climate change to gender equality.

The thesis analyzes the impact of climate change to gender relations in non-productive activities, including the participation of women in climate change adaptation activities at community level.

The thesis contributed to examine theoretical conclusion on gender and climate change issues in the context of Vietnam, thus, contributes for analysis and information for the sociological studies on gender and climate change.

The thesis proposed recommendations to promote substantive gender equality through the development and implementation of policies and programs on climate change.

11. Practical applicability:

The thesis can contribute directly to the current interventions on gender and climate change in Nam Dinh province. It can contribute to the current interventions of Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs as the state management agency on gender equality, Ministry of National Resource and Environment and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as well as Viet Nam Women's Union that contribute to gender equality and climate change. These institutions can use the results of this thesis to better understand on the gender and climate change issues in a commune in Vietnam, and thus, pay more attention to gender mainstreaming in climate change adaptation.

The thesis can be a reference document for universities, local non-governmental organizations and international organizations working on gender equality and climate change.
