11. Summary of new results of the thesis:
- Firstly, the thesis has built a scientific theoretical framework for analyzing Vietnam - Laos political relations from 2012 to 2022. Specifically, after approaching some viewpoints of Marxism - Leninism, Realism, Liberalism; viewpoints of Vietnam, Laos; Ho Chi Minh's thought, Kaysone Phomvihane's thought and some scholars, the thesis has put forward basic elements in Vietnam - Laos political relations, including (i) Subjects according to levels of analysis: national, local; (ii) methods: Exchange of delegations, holding conferences; solidarity, friendship, comprehensive cooperation; (iii) Contents: Political relations between subjects on defense - security cooperation and foreign affairs; political relations between subjects on economic cooperation; political relations between subjects on cultural - social cooperation; (iv) Objective: For (ensuring) the interests of each nation in the regional and international environment, building each country into an independent, unified, peaceful, rich, strong, equitable, democratic, civilized, prosperous, and thriving one.
- Second, Vietnam - Laos political relations from 2012 to 2022 are scientifically and systematically studied based on a political approach, in which political relations between subjects on: defense - security cooperation and foreign affairs; economic cooperation; cultural - social cooperation are the main research focuses.
- Third, Vietnam - Laos political relations from 2012 to 2022 are reviewed and evaluated comprehensively, pointing out the influencing factors (favorable and difficult) in the past time, forecasting the opportunities and challenges in the relationship between the two countries in the coming time, and at the same time making recommendations of theoretical and practical value to strengthen Vietnam - Laos political relations in the period of 2023-2032 and the following years.
12. Practical application:
- The research results of the thesis can contribute to the completion of the theoretical basis of the study of international political relations in general, and Vietnam - Laos political relations in particular, according to the approach of political science.
- The thesis can be used as a reference for scientists, experts, and students; can be used as teaching materials at training institutions on political science and international relations.
13. Further research directions:
- Continue to further improve the political approach in studying Vietnam - Laos political relations, thereby more clearly defining the theoretical basis and specific methods to conduct related research.
- Expand the scope and content of the research to clarify the relationship between political entities in the 2023-2032 period, analyze more deeply the factors affecting the Vietnam - Laos political relationship, and propose further improvements to Vietnam's policy towards Laos in the new situation.

- Expanding the scope and content of research to clarify the relationship between political subjects in the period 2023-2032, analyze more deeply the factors affecting to Vietnam - Laos political relations, and pointing out suggestions for the improvement of Vietnam's policy towards Laos in the new situation
