11. Summary of new results of the thesis:
- In addition to building a theoretical framework on words, word meanings, lexical-semantic fields; the phenomenon of field transfer, the thesis also defines the concepts of "lyrics", "revolutionary songs" to identify and accurately select the surveyed materials. In particular, the thesis has presented and explained its own viewpoint on "symbolic meaning" as a basis for research.
- The thesis surveyed 175 revolutionary songs from 1945 to 1975, obtained 2,583 words with a total of 13,897 uses, isolated into 8 lexical-semantic fields; pointed out the hierarchy, intersection, distribution characteristics, and semantic expression functions of words in each field.
- The thesis has counted 826 words with lexical-semantic field transfer with a total frequency of 2,650 occurrences; discovered and specifically pointed out metaphor and metonymy as two typical semantic transfer methods that led to the lexical-semantic field transfer of words; analyzed and explained the ability to express the meaning of words in the new lexical-semantic field that has been transferred.
- The thesis has analyzed and specifically described each symbolic meaning of four typical words with high frequency of appearance as literary aesthetic signals - namely: heart, road, spring, fire; analyzed the influencing factors, the mechanism of forming symbolic meanings and the unique and specific features of the vocabulary used in revolutionary songs in the period 1945 - 1975.
- The thesis has pointed out the typical characteristics of vocabulary - semantics, reflective content, and central character image in Vietnamese revolutionary songs from 1945 to 1975. In particular, the thesis has pointed out the factors that influence and influence cognitive characteristics, ways of expressing life, especially the artistic techniques of portraying the image of Vietnamese people in revolutionary songs from 1945 to 1975.
12. Practical applicability: The research results of the thesis can be used as a reference document for studying, researching or teaching Vietnamese; a useful document for musicians to refer to in order to improve the quality of language use in song composition; a useful document for teaching music theory subjects, vocal teaching techniques in schools, music academies, and cultural and artistic centers nationwide.
13. Further research directions: Research on language in Vietnamese revolutionary songs from 1945 to 1975 on the phonetic, pragmatic and grammatical levels.
