Basically, the Thesis achieved the following results:
- Overview of the economic, cultural, political, social and religious situation in Thuan Quang after the division of the Dang Trong and Dang Ngoai borders. The Nguyen Lord's government was one of the important factors determining the development and widespread influence of Buddhism in Thuan Quang.
- Described the appearance of Thuan Quang Buddhist literature in the 17th-18th centuries in terms of creative force, genre system, language system and theme system.
- Based on the comparison with Dang Ngoai literature and Southern literature in the synchronic aspect; comparing with Thuan Quang literature in the diachronic aspect, the thesis has presented the special characteristics of Thuan Quang Buddhist literature in the 17th-18th centuries in terms of ideological content and genre form such as: the adaptation and the intermediate role of Thuan Quang Buddhist literature, the fusion of ideologies, poetic concepts and the trend of popularizing Buddhist literary works...
- In terms of cultural geography research, the thesis has explained the influence of socio-cultural life on literary works and vice versa, contributing to the identification of elements of identity, specificity and characteristics of regional culture.
- The thesis can be used as a reference in research and teaching of literature and Buddhism and has certain significance for research works on Buddhist literature in Vietnamese literature.
