Invitation to submit papers for the scientific conference: “Sociology and Social Work in the Digital Age and Sustainable Development”

1. Purpose and Significance of the Workshop
In the context of the ongoing digital transformation and the demands for sustainable development in Vietnam and around the world, the fields of Sociology and Social Work are facing numerous new opportunities and challenges. The development of artificial intelligence, big data, digital platforms, and social technology has been changing the approach to research, training, and professional practice. Simultaneously, social issues such as inequality, migration, climate change, population aging, and the protection of vulnerable groups urgently require sustainable and inclusive solutions.
To create a forum for academic exchange, sharing research results and practical experiences; and to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work (1991 - 2026), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is organizing a scientific conference with the theme:"Sociology and Social Work in the Digital Age and Sustainable Development"

2. Suggested content directions:
The Organizing Committee cordially invites scientists, lecturers, and practitioners to submit papers focusing on (but not limited to) the following topics:
(1) Research on Sociology and Social Work in the Digital Age and Sustainable Development
- Innovations in the theory and methodology of sociological and social work research.
- Applying digital technology in social surveys, big data analysis, and artificial intelligence in social research.
- Research on emerging social issues in the context of sustainable development: migration, inequality, climate change, social services, social security, vulnerable groups.
- Trends in quantitative, qualitative, and predictive research in the context of digital transformation.
- Applying research findings to policy planning and developing sustainable social support models.
(2) Training in Sociology and Social Work in the Digital Age and Towards Sustainable Development
- Digital transformation in teaching and learning Sociology and Social Work
- Developing the digital skills of students in the Sociology and Social Work majors.
- Update training programs to meet new professional standards and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Strengthen the links between schools, practical training facilities, and social organizations.
(3) Sociology and Social Work Practice in the Digital Age and Sustainable Development
- Technology in data collection and analysis for policy advice and evaluation.
- A model for practicing social work in the context of digital transformation.
- The role of sociology and social work in policy planning and sustainable community development.
- Applying innovation and social technology to support vulnerable groups; protecting children in cyberspace.
- Enhance digital capabilities and ensure professional ethics and information security in social work practice.

4. Article Guidelines
- Summary length: 200 - 400 words
- Total length: 6,000 - 9,000 words (including references)
- The article must be unpublished and not submitted concurrently to other conferences or journals.
- Presentation format follows APA 7 standards (including abstract and citations).
- High-quality papers will be published in the conference proceedings with an ISBN number.
