Renmin University of China (RUC) is a key national comprehensive university and is part of the "Project 985" and "Project 211" on social sciences and humanities established by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. According to the 2021 World University Rankings, RUC ranked in the top 40 globally for philosophy, top 51 for legal studies, top 80 for social sciences and management, and top 100 for arts and humanities-related fields.
