Peking University

Peking University, established in 1898, is China's first comprehensive public university (“Imperial University of Peking”), located in Haidian District, Beijing. It is part of national key projects such as “Project 211” and “Project 985,” and is one of China's leading universities in education and research – from social sciences and humanities to natural sciences and medicine. With over 55 institutes and schools, 60 research units, and numerous affiliated hospitals, PKU has a very large student body, including many international students. (Nearly 48,600 students in total, including nearly 2,500 international students.)
