Peking University

Founded in 1898, Peking University is China’s first comprehensive public university (“Imperial University of Peking”), located in Haidian District, Beijing. It is part of the national key projects “Project 211” and “Project 985”, and is one of China’s leading universities in education and research – from humanities and social sciences to natural sciences and medicine. With more than 55 colleges, schools, 60 research units and numerous affiliated hospitals, PKU has a very large student body, including international students. (Nearly 48,600 students in total, including nearly 2,500 international students.)
