Faculty of Linguistics, Vietnamese & Vietnamese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies: Multidisciplinary international cooperation with Khon Kaen University, Thailand

From January 7-10, 2026, the Faculty of Linguistics, Vietnamese Language & Vietnamese Studies and the Faculty of Oriental Studies had a field trip to Khon Kaen University, Thailand.
Within the framework of the 20th International Conference on “Humanities and Social Sciences” organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, faculty and staff from both faculties presented papers in the subcommittee “Vietnam - Thailand Bridge in the Context of Asian Civilization”. The presentations received significant attention from international scholars and participating students.

Alongside the workshop, the two faculties met and discussed collaborations in academics, teaching and training in Vietnamese language and culture, Southeast Asian studies, Thai studies, international publishing cooperation, and faculty and student exchanges with partners (as reported via the link below):

The delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities exchanged ideas on cooperation with the School of Planning, Architecture and Design.
The two departments also reported on their work results and presented their advice on the preservation, dissemination, and promotion of linguistic, cultural, country studies, and Vietnamese studies values ​​to the Consulate General of Vietnam in Khon Kaen, Thailand.
Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh receives the delegation from the two faculties.
The trip, which combined an international scientific conference and collaborative exchanges between the two faculties, was a great success, creating favorable conditions for USSH to implement related activities to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Thailand (1976-2026).
