The Faculty of Linguistics has a strong tradition of international cooperation. The Faculty has maintained and continued its collaboration with traditional partners for decades, and in recent years has continuously expanded its links with many universities and research centers in the region and around the world. This success in international cooperation opens up many job and study opportunities for faculty and students, as well as providing access to scholarships to help faculty and students improve their professional skills and foreign language proficiency.
Many international scientific conferences organized by the Faculty of Linguistics in collaboration with foreign universities have made a significant impact in the academic community, such as: the Pan-Asiatic Linguistics International Conference (2005); the International Conference “Research and Teaching of Vietnamese and Chinese Language and Culture” (2007, 2009, 2011); the International Conference “Teaching and Researching Linguistics in Vietnam: Theoretical and Practical Issues” (2011, 2013, 2016), “Nguyen Tai Can – Thought, Works and Memories” (2021), “Research and Teaching of Linguistics and Vietnamese Linguistics” (2022), “Geographic Linguistics in Asia and Vietnam” (2023).
Alongside its training and scientific research activities, the Faculty of Linguistics is also strengthening its international cooperation. The Faculty has established effective scientific collaborations and training partnerships with numerous universities, academies, and research centers worldwide, including: Paris 7 University (France), University of California - Los Angeles, Cornell University (USA), University of Toronto, University of Ottawa (Canada), Australian National University (Australia), Osaka University (Japan), Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Seoul National University (South Korea), Guangxi University, Guangxi Nationalities University, Lijiang Academy, Huxiangsi Academy, Yunnan Nationalities University, Yunnan University, Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, Dianchi Academy, Guangdong University of Foreign Languages ​​and International Trade, Shanghai Foreign Languages ​​University (China), Kaohsiung University (Taiwan), Ubon Ratchathani University, Chukalongkorn University, Mahasarakham University (Thailand), etc.
