General introduction

The Center for Communication and Information Technology was established in November 2022 (the predecessor and the Center for Training and Application of Information Technology, established in August 2018) with the following functions and tasks:

About function

- Training function: To be a training facility for basic IT and IT supplementary skills for formal, informal, on-the-job, short-term training, knowledge enhancement and other forms of training, granting certificates according to the provisions of law, the Ministry of Education and Training and Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

- Consulting function: To be a consulting unit for the School on IT application in management and operation activities, coordinating with other training units to promote the application of information technology in the fields of study.

- Service function: Providing services in the field of IT management and application.

About the mission

- Responsible for basic IT training for students of the whole school. Advise the school in implementing the Basic IT course effectively. Ensure the IT output capacity requirements of students.

- Implement short-term training programs related to IT, training and granting office IT certificates, training and organizing international IT certification exams.

- Develop and implement training on complementary IT-related skills for staff and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

- Advise the School on the application of IT in management and operation activities, towards building a smart university - digital university (university 4.0).

- Organize research and development of application programs, coordinate with the Faculties in the School to promote the application of IT in training majors in social sciences and humanities.

- Manage the school's information technology equipment system (including computer rooms, server systems and internet connections).

- Consulting and supervising the implementation of maintenance of computer systems, equipment and internet networks in the School.
