“Making a Difference – Barrier-Free Social Work: Towards Sustainable Development and Emergency Response” was the theme of the international scientific conference organized by the Faculty of Sociology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, on August 1-2, 2023.
This is the result of the work of scientists from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), along with the consulting and support activities of Indiana University (USA) within the framework of the PHER (Partnership for Higher Education Reform) Project, which has been taking place at VNU-USSH for many months.
With outstanding achievements in scientific research in the fields of Gender, Population, and Environment, the research group of scientists from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has been recognized for the second time as a Strong Research Group at the Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
On June 6, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) held a meeting and working session with Dr. Michael Fullilove AM - Executive Director of the Lowy Institute (Australia).
Within the framework of the Vietnammica project, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) had the honor of welcoming Professor Marc Bui and Associate Professor Pascal Bourdeaux from the French Institute for Advanced Studies (EPHE) for a working visit and a series of presentations on the theme "Vietnamese History and Digital Humanities: Reconsidering and Utilizing Historical Sources".
After more than 5 months of launching and implementing the program, 939 students participated in the Student Scientific Research Award with 552 projects, of which 212 projects won awards at the Faculty/Department level.
With its continued recognition as a key research center of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi in January 2023, the Institute of Policy and Management (IPAM) under the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, has affirmed its scientific position with an applied research orientation in the field of policy and management science.
In January 2023, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) continued to recognize one key research center and four strong research groups of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH) as strong research groups at the Vietnam National University, Hanoi level. This is a recognition and investment by VNU in the scientific and technological research activities of VNU-USSH - a leading university in training high-quality, highly skilled human resources.
