Expecting the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to always be the leading flag in VNU

Attending the Congress were comrades representing the leaders of the Hanoi Party Committee; the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of VNU; representatives of Party organizations under the VNU Party Committee and 177 party members from Party cells under the University Party Committee.

 

At the Congress, Comrade Pham Xuan Thach - Secretary of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, term XXVII, presented a report on the results of the implementation of tasks and powers of the Party Executive Committee, term XXVII since the XXVIII Congress of Delegates with three contents.
Accordingly, the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the 28th Congress of Delegates for the 2020-2025 term on June 27, 2020 with 3 contents according to Conclusion No. 396-KL/DU dated June 15, 2020 of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of VNU. According to this conclusion, the Party Executive Committee and the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the 27th term of 2015-2020 continue to perform the tasks and powers as prescribed.
Although there were many changes in personnel in each period, the Party Committee and the Party Committee Standing Committee issued 119 Conclusions and 01 specialized Resolution. Of which, 96 Conclusions were basically resolved on schedule by the Party Committee's committees, affiliated Party cells and the School's Board of Directors.
 

At the 2nd Congress of Party Delegates, delegates elected the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, term XXVIII, 2020-2025, consisting of 15 comrades. Next, the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the University held its first meeting and elected the Standing Committee of the Party Committee consisting of 3 comrades: Comrade Hoang Anh Tuan (Principal of the University); Comrade Dang Thi Thu Huong (Party Cell Secretary, Director of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training), Comrade Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Principal). Comrade Hoang Anh Tuan was elected as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the University, Comrade Dao Thanh Truong was elected as Chairman of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee.

Speaking at the Congress, the Party Secretary and President of VNU emphasized: The 177 official delegates attending the Congress today are performing an extremely important task, which is to wisely elect a new Executive Committee with enough virtue, talent, and stature to implement the Party Committee's Resolution.
Director Le Quan believes that in all circumstances and stages of development, people are always the most important factor and the root of all development in society. The field of Social Sciences and Humanities is always an important pillar in the overall development of VNU in particular and the whole society in general. In the coming time, in the overall achievements of VNU, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is expected to be a bright spot with outstanding contributions, worthy of being the leading flag in the whole VNU.
The Secretary of the Party Committee of VNU pledged that VNU will always accompany the University and believes that, with the strength of solidarity, unity and consensus, the University Party Committee will successfully implement the Resolution set forth by the 28th Congress of the University Party Committee.

Resolution of the 28th Congress of Party Delegates of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities determined: Direction: Promoting the leadership role of the Party to comprehensively innovate all aspects of activities to develop the University of Social Sciences and Humanities into a research university, affirming its national and international position, contributing to the development of VNU and the country in the new period. General Objective: Strengthen the leadership role of Party committees at all levels; promote the tradition, strengths and position of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; mobilize all resources for comprehensive development of the University, be proactive in university autonomy; innovate breakthroughs in organization - personnel, training, scientific research, advanced university administration; apply modern technology in all fields to develop the University into a research university; provide high-quality human resources in Social Sciences and Humanities to meet the requirements of national development in the context of the fourth industrial revolution and international integration. Implementation measures: Determined to innovate comprehensively, synchronously, with focus, key points and appropriate roadmap to build and develop the School. Key tasks include: The first:Enhance the leadership role of the Party and the work of Party building. Strengthen the direct, comprehensive and absolute leadership of the Party in formulating major and key development policies and plans of the School; attach importance to the role of Party committees at all levels in political and ideological work; build organizational structures, manage and develop staff; open new and ensure the quality of training programs; direct the development and implementation of development projects; major research topics, scientific research tasks, domestic and international cooperation relationships and university administration of the School. Monday:Focus on building and developing a team of cadres and experts through recruitment; have a plan to develop the team according to field groups, competency frameworks and job title standards; train and foster cadres; have policies to attract, encourage, honor and reward highly qualified scientists. Tuesday:Comprehensively innovate training, review and evaluate to restructure training sectors, encourage the development of high-quality socialized training programs; invest in enrollment, especially graduate enrollment; enhance connectivity between training programs and perfect the information technology infrastructure system to meet quality requirements to support innovation in training forms. Wednesday:Promote scientific research, create high-quality scientific products and policy advice, especially outstanding products on social sciences and humanities. Thursday:Effectively apply advanced university management models and methods, diversify material resources.
