Speaking at the meeting, Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa, on behalf of the University, emphasized the importance of evaluating the quality of training programs for the educational and training endeavors of universities. As a unit directly under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has always focused on and begun implementing training quality evaluation since 2008.

The university has achieved some encouraging results, conducting quality assessments on 24 training programs, of which 8 programs have been accredited according to the AUN-QA standards of the ASEAN University Network. With these achievements, the university is ready to share its experiences with other universities such as the Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, to jointly improve the effectiveness of this important work.
On behalf of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Chinh expressed his gratitude for welcoming the delegation and expressed his confidence in learning from the experience of ensuring the quality of training programs from a school with a long tradition like the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy hopes that the two universities can implement more cooperation in the future.

Next, the audience listened to Dr. Tran Thuy Anh (Director of the Center for Educational Quality Assurance) share experiences on the quality assessment of training programs at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The presentation introduced the objectives and achievements of the University in quality assessment, as well as the basic assessment processes, including self-assessment, external assessment, and online assessment. Experiences in activities such as writing and finalizing reports, collecting evidence, preparing facilities, interviewing stakeholders, translating reports, etc., were presented and illustrated with specific examples.

The audience asked questions and discussed issues such as how to divide self-assessment groups according to the evaluation criteria, the role of unit leaders in completing self-assessment reports, the establishment of internal evaluation councils, planning training programs based on the criteria, and budgeting for evaluation activities.
