The Chinese Embassy awarded scholarships to outstanding students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

This morning, November 6th, 2025, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam held a scholarship awarding ceremony for two outstanding students from the Faculty of Oriental Studies, majoring in Chinese Studies.
In his welcoming remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hong Son, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, expressed his honor in welcoming representatives from the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam to visit and work with the University, and extended his deep gratitude for the Embassy's attention and support for the students. He emphasized that for many years, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has always valued its cooperative relationship with Chinese agencies, organizations, and universities in many fields such as academic exchange, training, research, and student exchange.
The Vice Rector shared that the Chinese Embassy scholarship is not only a well-deserved reward recognizing students' academic efforts, but also a valuable source of encouragement, motivating them to continue striving in their studies and lives, becoming bridges for friendship between the two countries. He also expressed his hope that the cooperative relationship between the university and the Chinese Embassy will develop further and more effectively, contributing to strengthening mutual understanding between the people of the two countries.

In his speech, Mr. La Dieu Quang, Education Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, highly praised the training and research tradition of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – an educational institution with a history of over 80 years, which has contributed many talented individuals in the fields of social sciences and humanities to Vietnam. He emphasized that the students majoring in Chinese Studies at the university are all diligent, dynamic, and full of potential. The two students who received scholarships today are typical representatives of that serious learning spirit and outstanding achievements.
He also expressed his hope that, in the future, the Chinese Studies students of the School will not only become experts knowledgeable about China, its language and culture, but also ambassadors of friendship contributing to fostering good relations between the people of China and Vietnam.
The scholarships, awarded directly to students, not only serve as encouragement but also symbolize the strong bond and effective cooperation in education and training between Vietnam and China.

At the ceremony, the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam awarded two scholarships, each worth VND 10,800,000, to two outstanding students majoring in Chinese Studies at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Student Nguyen Thi Ha Trang, representing the scholarship recipients, expressed gratitude to the Chinese Embassy, ​​the school's administration, and the faculty members of the Department of Oriental Studies.
