Attending the reception were Mr. Mir Ali Mohammadi - Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Vietnam, Ambassador Nguyen Quang Khai - Vice President of the Iran-Vietnam Friendship Association, Former Director of the Middle East and Africa Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The event is part of the art program called “Iran – Echoes of Persia” which aims to enhance understanding, friendship and cooperation between two countries with a long history and culture.
Speaking at the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong emphasized that Vietnam and Iran are two countries with a long-standing cultural tradition and friendly cooperative relationship. The close cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Iranian partners through the connection of the Iranian Embassy in Vietnam is a vivid proof. Since 2009, with the support of the Iranian Embassy, the University has organized many scientific seminars, exhibitions on the achievements of Persian civilization - one of the ancient civilizations with great contributions to humanity, opened Persian language classes, exchanged students and lecturers, and awarded scholarships to students.
In particular, many experts and scientists from Iran have directly participated in teaching at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, bringing practical values to students, lecturers and the Vietnamese community interested in the Middle East region.
These activities not only contribute to the achievements in training and research of the School but also enhance understanding, friendship and cooperation between two countries with long-standing history and culture.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities wishes to have long-term cooperation with the Iranian Embassy as well as international embassies, not only in the fields of culture and art but also expanding to the fields of training, exchange of lecturers and students, organizing international classes, seminars and workshops specializing in language, culture, art, cuisine and tourism...
On behalf of the School Board of Directors, Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong expressed her deep gratitude to the Iranian Embassy for choosing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to organize the traditional music performance “Iran – Echoes of Persia”. This is a valuable opportunity for lecturers, researchers and students of the School to directly interact with famous artists, enjoy famous works of art and learn more about the traditional culture of Iran.

Representative of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Vietnam, Mr. Moslem Golestan - Second Secretary, expressed his gratitude to the University for creating conditions to organize a meaningful cultural event. He affirmed that the Embassy of Iran is committed to being a bridge to promote cooperation between Iranian educational and cultural organizations and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. In the coming time, there will certainly be more cultural and academic exchange activities between the two countries implemented at the University.

Mr. Mir Ali Mohammadi - Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Vietnam highly appreciated the role of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities as an important bridge in enhancing cultural exchange, research cooperation and mutual understanding between Vietnam and countries around the world, including the Islamic Republic of Iran. At the same time, he affirmed his commitment to promoting academic and research cooperation, especially towards compiling and publishing the Vietnamese - Persian Dictionary, a project approved by the Iranian Government and expected to be implemented in the near future with the participation of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Afterwards, lecturers and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities enjoyed the art program “Iran - Echoes of Persia” with performances by Iranian artists, creating a unique cultural and artistic space and a spirit of open exchange.
