Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities was delighted to welcome international delegations to visit and sign cooperation agreements with the University, especially in the joyful atmosphere towards the 80th anniversary of tradition and 30th anniversary of the University's establishment. Over eight decades of construction and development, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has always played a pioneering role in training and research in social sciences and humanities in Vietnam, while constantly expanding international cooperation and integration.
According to Principal Hoang Anh Tuan, the school is currently implementing more than 30 undergraduate training programs, 29 master's training programs and 32 doctoral training programs, as well as many other short-term and long-term programs. Based on the sustainable cooperation between the two schools over the past two decades, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities hopes that this signing ceremony will open up new directions for development in training and research cooperation not only in the fields of Southeast Asian studies, Thai studies and Oriental studies, Vietnamese language training but also expanding to many other fields such as history, cultural studies, political studies, etc.
The delegation of Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University expressed their deep impression with the dynamic and modern development of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Assoc.Prof.Dr.Kanakorn Sawangcharoen - Rector of Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University expressed his emotion when returning to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities since his first visit when he was a young lecturer. Rector Kanakorn Sawangcharoen said that he was always deeply impressed by the friendliness and dynamic, modern development of the University, and emphasized that the cooperative relationship between the two universities over the past two decades has gone beyond the usual academic framework, becoming a symbol of friendship, trust and mutual respect. The re-signing of the memorandum of understanding this time is not only to maintain the tradition of good cooperation but also to elevate the relationship between the two sides to a more substantial and profound level.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Kanakorn said that Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University was established during the reign of King Rama V, has a history of 135 years of development, currently offers 125 programs at different levels and has many similarities with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. With the re-signing of the MOU this time, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University hopes to further promote cooperation in the following areas:
- Exchange of lecturers and students through credit recognition training programs; short-term courses, Vietnamese language training.
- Implement joint research projects on the history and culture of the two countries as well as common regional and global issues.
- Organize scientific seminars, academic exchange programs, and scholar exchanges to share research results and scientific knowledge.
At the end of the signing ceremony, the leaders of the two schools affirmed their determination to develop the cooperative relationship between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University into an increasingly deeper, more substantial and sustainable one, continuing to foster friendship and mutual understanding between Vietnam and Thailand.
