When the lesson leaves the classroom
The journey started from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, the first destination of the Information - Library class was the Library of Ha Long University. As a young library, in the process of modernizing and developing digital library services, this place has given students a vivid perspective on the organization and operation of libraries in the local academic environment. Content such as the model of serving learners, organizing reading spaces, library operations and the roadmap for applying digital technology are all shared openly and practically, creating a solid foundation for students to prepare to enter a real career environment.

The students visited Quang Ninh Provincial Library - one of the most modern public libraries today. With an open architectural design, multi-purpose space, and a powerful technology application system, the library has shown a dynamic, creative and very close community service model. This is also a rare opportunity for students to place two models of university libraries and public libraries side by side - to compare and contrast and see more clearly the essential role of the library industry in serving today's knowledge society.
Continuing the journey, the students visited the Quang Ninh Provincial Museum - not only a space to preserve the cultural and historical memories of the mining area, but also a "living data center" that reflects the organization and display of information in visual and digital form. For students majoring in Information Management, this is a very special model of content communication - when data not only exists on the system but also becomes an emotional experience. For students majoring in Information - Library, the museum is a living object archive, reflecting the principles of preserving, restoring and digitizing historical documents. Here, both majors had the opportunity to learn from each other, expanding the scope of thinking about information organization in public spaces.

Digital Transformation and Integrated Communications Practice
Not stopping there, on the morning of July 30, 2025, the Information Management class had an in-depth survey at the Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center - an integrated press and media agency, leading the way in the provincial digital transformation roadmap. The working session not only helped students gain practical access to the process of producing, managing, and storing media content, but also shared solutions for applying AI, Big Data, and digitizing local data in operations and public communications. This is a typical model for the connection between technology and information management, between journalism and data - a potential career trend for students majoring in Information Management in the future.

Not just learning – but a journey of connection
The valuable thing about this trip is probably not only the professional knowledge, but also the companionship between two seemingly separate fields of study: Information - Library and Information Management. During the internship, the students discussed, observed, asked questions, and shared academic perspectives and personal experiences. The complementarity between professional library knowledge and information - data systems thinking has created a multidimensional "learning ecosystem", contributing to building interdisciplinary capacity that the current labor market is in great need of.
Closing the series of dense professional activities was a special night called Gala Dinner - Connecting and Shining, taking place on the evening of July 30, 2025. In a cozy and brightly lit space, students of the two majors of Information Management and Information - Library shared sublime moments - where knowledge gave way to emotion, where young hearts beat together.

GALA Night K66 Information Management
The trip ended with nostalgia, bright eyes, and mixed emotions of 81 K67 students – young people who are preparing to leave the classroom and step into life. The internship not only provided knowledge and skills, but also a vivid lesson about flexibility, cooperation, and adaptability in a real-life working environment.
The Faculty of Information and Library believes that the journey in Quang Ninh will be a beautiful memory, an important milestone marking the academic, professional and personal growth of each student.
