These are the contents discussed at the Scientific Workshop on Developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) Capacity for Learners held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi this morning, October 28, 2025, in coordination with Meta Group, Vietnam Association for Science and Technology Information and One World Magazine.

In the context of artificial intelligence (AI) reshaping all areas of social life, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) and Meta Group have cooperated to implement a project on improving AI application capacity for lecturers and students in the aspects of understanding, evaluating and using AI safely and responsibly, with many outstanding results, contributing to creating a foundation to promote the widespread application of AI in higher education.

This morning, October 8, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU in collaboration with the Vietnam Association for Science and Technology Information, the National Library of Vietnam, One World Magazine and Meta Group organized a training course on "Artificial Intelligence for information and library professionals".

On October 1, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU officially announced the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Competency Framework for Students. This is considered the first comprehensive AI competency framework in Vietnam for higher education.

In the context of higher education being strongly transformed by the wave of digital transformation, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi continues to affirm its pioneering role by becoming one of 6 higher education institutions nationwide participating in developing and compiling learning materials for the course "Digital Popularization" - a program to popularize digital skills for students nationwide.

The 2nd Regional “Digital Skills To Succeed” (DS2S) Network Conference, held from September 2-5, 2025 in Leipzig (Germany), brought together more than 160 delegates from many universities, international organizations and leading technology companies to discuss the future of education in the digital age. The program focused on three main pillars: networking, university-industry cooperation and innovation in teaching and learning methods. The conference was organized by the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) in collaboration with the University of Leipzig, with support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

A scientific conference with the theme “The role of scientific and technological information in socio-economic development” was held at Ho Chi Minh City National University on August 29, 2025 with the participation of nearly 500 delegates including leaders, scientists, experts, businesses and students, to clarify the strategic role of scientific and technological information (S&T) in the digital age and artificial intelligence.

From August 20-22, 2025, the International Conference on Information, Library and Publishing Science - ICLISSP2025 was held at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), Quy Nhon (Gia Lai). The event gathered more than 150 delegates who are scientists, policy makers, managers, researchers and graduate students from 11 countries and territories. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities of Vietnam provided a training course on AI for librarians at this Conference.

From July 28 to August 1, 2025, 81 students of the two majors of Information Management and Information - Library officially began their internship and practical training in Quang Ninh province according to the second semester study plan, academic year 2024-2025. This is an annual activity of great significance in the training program, helping students to gain practical experience in their profession, while creating conditions to connect knowledge - practice - people between the two majors.

Aiming at the goal of building a system of standardized, high-quality textbooks and monographs, contributing to affirming the pioneering and leading role and position in training and scientific research, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi has approved a key project on publishing textbooks, monographs and scientific products of the University.
