This year, the Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, is honored to have two outstanding students selected to participate. This program aims to encourage research on cultural heritage, strengthen global youth connections, promote intercultural cooperation, and build a sense of responsibility among young people towards the sustainable development of humanity.
From July 8th to July 20th, 2025, the Cultural Heritage Tourism & Communication Summer Program, organized by the School of Tourism - Sun Yat-sen University (China), was successfully held, opening up opportunities for international learning and exchange for tourism students.
Students Le Minh Trang and Vu Thi Quynh - K66 Hotel Management, Faculty of Tourism Studies, participated in the 2025 Summer Program on Cultural Heritage & Media Tourism in China.
Throughout the two-week program, students attended lectures from leading professors on the relationship between tourism and heritage, heritage preservation and promotion, and gained practical experience at many famous cultural heritage sites, such as Kaiping Diaolou (Zhuhai, Guangdong) – a unique defensive tower complex and ancient village; Foshan city – the “capital” of intangible cultural heritage with activities such as dragon boat racing, lion dance, and Wing Chun martial arts training; and Yungang Grottoes (Datong, Shanxi) – a World Heritage site with exquisitely carved Buddha statues, experiencing mural restoration and learning about the application of technology in heritage management. In addition, students explored ancient relics and buildings in the center of Datong and visited the Great Wall Museum, walking on a section of the majestic wall to appreciate the historical scale of the structure.

Representing the Tourism Studies students participating in the program, Le Minh Trang and Vu Thi Quynh said that the trip not only provided professional knowledge about heritage conservation and management but also a valuable experience filled with warm feelings. Despite differences in nationality, ethnicity, and cultural background, the students all shared a common desire to preserve and spread cultural values.
"Through this trip, we are even more proud of Vietnam's rich heritage and want to share the beauty of our homeland with international friends. This is certainly just the beginning of further collaborative and creative journeys."- Minh Trang shared.
Previously, in June 2024, Le Minh Trang was the only female student representative from Northern Vietnam to attend the 19th ASEAN Youth Culture Forum and the 9th ASEAN+3 Forum in Brunei. At her graduation ceremony in July 2025, Minh Trang was honored as the valedictorian of the Hotel Management program.
Congratulations to the two students who have excellently represented the Faculty of Tourism Studies in this meaningful program, contributing to affirming the spirit of integration, creativity, and responsibility of students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities on their journey to becoming global citizens.
