The ceremony is not only a milestone marking the end of a 4-year university journey, but also an opportunity for students, teachers and families to look back on the years of growing up, overcoming difficulties, and being proud of the knowledge, skills and life ideals that the new graduates bring with them.
From a generation of students who grew up from challenges…K66 students - the generation of students entering university in the context of social distancing due to the Covid-19 pandemic, studying online and having to adapt to a volatile world - have demonstrated their determination and ability to overcome challenges through their 4-year journey of studying, training and growing up.
The entire hall on the 8th floor was filled with emotions as the teachers, who are leaders of the Faculties/Institutes, conveyed their feelings to the new graduates through a short report. It was not only the sharing of the teachers on the Humanities podium, but also the loving advice of the fathers and mothers who always follow the steps of their growth.
Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Principal of the School sent congratulations to the achievements of the K66 class - the generation that has overcome challenges to firmly reach today.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the School congratulated and expressed gratitude to the parents who have steadfastly accompanied the School and students throughout the difficult journey.
Representatives of the new graduates presented flowers to express gratitude to the teachers in the School Council and the Board of Directors.
In her English speech representing the students at the graduation ceremony, Bui Minh Thuy - Valedictorian of International Studies reminded: “
Perhaps the K66 school year is a school year with a very special beginning, unlike any previous school year and it is also completely different from our imagination when entering a new threshold of life".
Minh Thuy recalled her early days of college through a small screen, with friends who were just online faces, and the anxiety of a generation entering college during a pandemic. But it was in that situation that the Humanistic spirit helped K66 overcome:
“When we are truly a part of Nhân văn, we are more aware of the affection, support and values that this place brings.”

In particular, during the recent journey, many international students have chosen Humanities as their “second home”, studying, growing up and leaving their own unique marks at this school. The efforts to overcome language and cultural barriers, cross-border friendships, and love for the Vietnamese language and the country of Vietnam – all have made this a truly memorable journey.
Representing international students, Liang Yi Fang - a new graduate of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language - shared his profound thoughts in fluent Vietnamese:
“I brought with me excitement, confusion, and a little anxiety when I set foot in Vietnam. But now, before graduation day, I can proudly say: This is one of the most meaningful decisions of my life!”As someone who studied online in the beginning, Liang did not forget to mention the challenging days: working in groups via the screen, learning Vietnamese remotely, missing home and friends. But it was during the hardships that she learned to be resilient, proactive and more mature.
To the new graduates who confidently step out into the worldIf the first days of university were a difficult time due to the pandemic, today's graduation ceremony is a testament to the remarkable maturity of K66 - a generation of students who once "could not see the starting point", but knew how to turn challenges into motivation and the learning journey into a mission to open themselves.
In her speech, Bui Minh Thuy (Faculty of International Studies) shared:
"Humanities has become a second home for all of us, nurturing and nurturing us over the years. This place not only imparts knowledge but also gives us the space to grow up: to be true to ourselves, to ask difficult questions, to be skeptical and to explore, to embrace both success and failure, and from there learn to stand up with pride. And most importantly, it teaches us to become 'Humanities people'."From specialized lectures to practical experiences at home and abroad, Humanities has opened the door to connect students with the world. Minh Thuy once had the opportunity to study and research at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) - a place that not only ignited her passion for academics, but also ignited her ideal of contributing to the country: “
The desire to contribute to building a more developed and modern Vietnam, but still rich in humanity."Minh Thuy expressed her deep gratitude to the school, the Faculty of International Studies, and the teachers, and emotionally emphasized: “
If I could go back, I would still choose this path, choose Humanities, choose International Studies, choose to walk with all my heart."
Liang Yi Fang - new graduate of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language expressed his gratitude to the teachers and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
As for Liang Yi Fang, four years of studying in Vietnam is a special journey of a global citizen - where lessons come not only from the classroom, but also from local life:
“Every day I experience the local lifestyle, from mornings with hot pho to late-night stories over a cup of beer on the sidewalk, has helped me truly absorb the Vietnamese spirit… These experiences not only broaden my knowledge but also help me grow more mature every day.”.
“My four years in Vietnam have been the most important launching pad in my life. From a bewildered international student, I have become a global citizen with an open heart and a borderless vision.”– said a female student from China.
The graduation ceremony was attended by school leaders, leaders of faculties/institutes and many parents and new graduates.
Goodbye Humanities, K66 students have brought with them a strong spirit, a solid foundation of knowledge and skills, and a truly valuable youth! Congratulations and wish you all to spread your wings and fly high, to be successful and happy on the road ahead!
Today, you are proud to be students of Hanoi University of Humanities; and tomorrow, the school will certainly always be proud of you!
