Recent graduates in Social Sciences and Humanities in the age of AI

The explosion of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation poses many challenges for students in the social sciences and humanities.
 
In an era where artificial intelligence (AI) is gradually replacing jobs in many industries and professions, graduates from social sciences and humanities also face numerous challenges.
Near the1,100 new graduates of the University of Social Sciences and HumanitiesHanoi National University has been striving to excel and assert itself through capabilities that technology and artificial intelligence cannot yet replace.
Le Minh Trang has just received her Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Her four-year academic journey has come to an end, but the door ahead opens with many challenges.
"Currently, some restaurants are also using robots to serve customers. Robots are just one part of the job. I think that the hospitality or service industry is all about creating personalized and memorable experiences for customers. These experiences stem from emotions, and emotions are unique to humans."
In the context of ever-evolving technology, artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly dominating many fields. Tasks such as writing, editing, and data processing have begun to be automated. Therefore, students in the Social Sciences and Humanities must know how to leverage their strengths to create distinctive value, something that machines cannot yet replace.
The reality is that opportunities haven't disappeared, they're just transforming. Today's graduates from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities aren't just doing research or teaching. They're working in many fields such as journalism, media, educational technology, community development, tourism, human resource management, and psychology.
Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, said:"Students can rest assured that social sciences and humanities are truly a field where, no matter how advanced the technology or engineering becomes, it must always take humanities as a cultural foundation and a frame of reference to ensure the sustainable development of science and technology and to serve the community."
Leaving the lecture halls, the journey ahead has only just begun, but with a solid foundation of learning from a school steeped in traditional humanistic values, each new graduate is gradually adapting to life and work, opening new doors where students of Social Sciences and Humanities are welcomed with their own capabilities.
