The explosion of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation poses many challenges for students in social sciences and humanities.
In the era of artificial intelligence AI gradually replacing jobs in many industries and professions, graduates from Social Sciences and Humanities also face many challenges. Near the1,100 new graduates from University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi National University has been striving to rise up and assert itself, with the very capabilities that technology and artificial intelligence cannot replace. Le Minh Trang has just received her bachelor's degree in Hotel Management from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The four-year journey of studying has come to an end, but the door ahead opens with many challenges. “Currently, there are also some restaurants that use robots to serve customers. Robots are just a part of supporting my work. I think the hotel or service industry is all about creating personal and memorable experiences for our customers. These experiences come from emotions and emotions are only human." In the context of constantly developing technology, artificial intelligence AI is increasingly dominating many fields. Some tasks such as writing, editing, data processing, etc. have begun to be automated. Therefore, students of Social Sciences and Humanities must know how to utilize their strengths, creating different values, something that machines cannot replace. In fact, opportunities are not lost, they are just changing form. Today's graduates of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities are not only doing research or teaching. They are still working in many fields such as journalism, communication, educational technology, community development, tourism, human resource management, psychology. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities said:"Students can rest assured that social sciences and humanities are truly a field where no matter how advanced technology or science is, it is necessary to take humanities as a cultural foundation, a frame of reference to make science and technology develop sustainably and towards serving the community." Leaving the lecture hall, the journey ahead has just begun, but with a solid foundation of learning from a school steeped in traditional humanistic values, each new graduate is gradually adapting to life and work, opening new doors where students of Social Sciences and Humanities are welcomed with their own qualities.
