The University of Social Sciences and Humanities signs a cooperation agreement with the University Medical Center - Linh Dam Campus.

On March 12, 2026, at the University Medical Center – Linh Dam Campus (University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at promoting training, research, and development in interdisciplinary fields between medicine and social sciences and humanities.
Attending the ceremony, on behalf of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong – Vice Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi. On behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, there were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan – Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong – Vice Rector; along with representatives from the Psychology, Sociology and Social Work faculties and other functional units within the university.
Representing the University Medical Center – Linh Dam Campus were Prof. Dr. Le Ngoc Thanh – Rector of the University Medical Center and Director of the Hospital, along with representatives from the hospital's specialized units.

Speaking at the ceremony, Professor Dr. Le Ngoc Thanh shared his professional journey and practical experiences in the field of medicine. Rector Le Ngoc Thanh emphasized the role of medical ethics in the current social context, and affirmed the importance of linking theoretical and practical training for students. He expressed his hope that the cooperation would facilitate access to new knowledge and technologies for both sides, thereby contributing to the training of young human resources in a streamlined manner, focusing on quality and practical skills.

Professor Hoang Anh Tuan highly appreciated the significance of the cooperation between the two institutions and expressed his respect for the medical staff. Rector Hoang Anh Tuan stated that the university will continue to expand cooperation activities in the field of medicine, building on the experience from previous cooperation models, such as with E Hospital. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities hopes that both sides will strengthen their cooperation more extensively, especially in teaching and research. The university is committed to serving public health and improving the quality of life through specific cooperation programs.

Leaders from both sides agreed that, in the context of increasingly comprehensive healthcare needs, the integration of medicine with psychological, social, and communication factors is an inevitable trend. Cooperation between the social sciences and humanities and the healthcare environment will contribute to improving the quality of patient care services, while also opening up new approaches in training and research.

According to the Memorandum of Understanding, the two parties will cooperate in three main areas: training, scientific research, and the development of patient support services. Students from Psychology, Social Work, Communication, Sociology, and related fields at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will have the opportunity to participate in internships, practical training, and research at the hospital. Simultaneously, the two parties will collaborate on organizing training programs and workshops on clinical psychology, hospital social work, communication skills in healthcare environments, and health education and communication. Furthermore, the two units will promote interdisciplinary research projects related to health behaviors, patient experience, healthcare service quality, and psychosocial factors in treatment and recovery. The research results are expected to make a practical contribution to improving the quality of comprehensive care and developing support models in the hospital environment.
