On the morning of January 24, 2026, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, led by Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector, held a cooperation exchange with East China Normal University, China. The delegation was welcomed by Professor Kuai Shuquang, Head of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department and representatives from relevant units of East China Normal University.
The two sides discussed and agreed on research topics, academic exchanges, and the organization of joint seminars on issues related to History, Oriental Studies, Ethnology, Political Science, and Vietnamese Studies... with the aim of contributing to the preservation and promotion of valuable cultural and heritage values.
The two sides also planned joint cooperation in socio-economic development research and local governance between Vietnam and China. In addition, they agreed to establish a joint research program comparing the political systems and political theories of Vietnam and China, and the achievements of Marxism.
The two sides also exchanged ideas and actions on new areas of significance for Vietnam and China in the digital age, such as the relationship between Artificial Intelligence and Social Sciences and Humanities, and the applications of AI in academic research.

East China Normal University is a renowned university in Shanghai. Founded on October 16, 1951, it was established on the basis of Daxia University (1924) and Guanghua University (1925), and also received transfers of several departments from other universities such as St. John's University, Fudan University, Tongji University, and Zhejiang University. Over more than half a century of operation, the university has developed into a prestigious institution not only in China but also internationally. East China Normal University is part of three projects: Project 211, Project 985, and the "First-Class Universities" Project. To date, it has established cooperative exchanges with over 200 universities worldwide.
