The leaders of the two universities exchanged views on many effective areas of cooperation during the meeting.
The two sides discussed and agreed on the following tasks:
1. Agree to continue the long-standing traditional cooperation between the two sides on the exchange of lecturers and students, international joint training in language, culture, history, and literature; and cooperation in organizing academic activities such as talks, seminars, workshops, and joint international conferences...
2. Continue traditional collaborations in student exchange programs, especially by continuing to implement the annual Chinese Language Summer Camp Program.
3. To agree on cooperation in applied training programs such as developing digital skills and artificial intelligence skills for students of both universities, as well as AI and digitalization programs.
4. To unify research content, academic exchanges, and organize joint seminars on cross-border ethnic issues; ethnic groups belonging to the Kradai language family; ASEAN and international issues... in order to contribute to the preservation and promotion of ethnic linguistic and cultural values.
5. To agree on contents regarding cross-border tourism cooperation, educational innovation, co-supervision of postgraduate studies, faculty exchange, and cultural exchange between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Guangxi University.
6. Agree on the development of a common plan to implement cooperation in socio-economic development research and local governance in border areas between Vietnam and China.
7. Agree to establish a joint research program comparing the political systems and political theories of Vietnam and China.
8. Propose strengthening cooperation between universities in China and universities in the ASEAN region. Guangxi University currently holds the chairmanship of the China-ASEAN University Alliance.
9. Initiate collaborative training in Vietnamese language between the Tourism Academy, the Public Administration Academy, and the Communication Academy of Guangxi University and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Guangxi University is a top-tier university under the Ministry of Education of China. It is the number one university in Guangxi Province and one of China's key universities; it is also part of the "Project 211" (a project on high-level comprehensive universities and colleges initiated by the Ministry of Education in 1995 to raise the research standards of top-tier universities and build a national socio-economic development strategy). Founded in 1928, the university is now considered a leading educational and research center in the Guangxi region.
