Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Thanh Nam, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, shared about the traditions, development orientation, and fundamental values of the University in its journey of training, research, and service to society.

In the context of society deeply entering the digital age, Associate Professor Bui Thanh Nam emphasized that digital transformation is not just about technology, but also requires attention to how people create, preserve, manage, and disseminate knowledge. Technology can create new tools, but it is humanistic values, culture, and social knowledge that form the foundation for how those tools are used and create value for the community. From that perspective, social sciences and humanities are not outside the digital transformation process but play a role in laying the foundation for content, values, and thinking for the creation process in the digital space.
In particular, with the trend of green development and digital transformation becoming important directions for sustainable development, the connection between universities and technology companies is expected to create new values. This is not just a relationship between educational institutions and businesses, but aims towards a collaborative ecosystem where knowledge, technology, people, and culture are all connected to form products and initiatives with practical applications.

During the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Van Hung, Head of the Department of Information Management, introduced the department's development orientation in the context of information, data, artificial intelligence, and digital content becoming increasingly important resources of the knowledge economy.
According to its current training orientation, the Faculty of Information Management is expanding its academic scope from the traditional field of information and library science to information management, data, digital content, artificial intelligence, digital humanities, and digital transformation. This orientation also reflects the shift in the field of training to meet the demands of the labor market in the digital age.
Based on this, the collaboration with YooTek Holdings is expected to create more opportunities for students to access real-world problems, technology, experts, and the business environment, thereby gradually transforming knowledge into professional skills and concrete products.

According to Mr. Nguyen Manh Tung, General Director of YooTek Holdings, technology only truly creates sustainable value when connected with materials that have depth in culture and knowledge. Cultural values, heritage, history, art, images, films, and other forms of content can become important raw materials for building new experiences in the digital space. This is also a special point of intersection between YooTek and VNU-USSH: one possesses a knowledge base, expertise, and data resources in social sciences and humanities; the other has technological capabilities and develops digital products.
The memorandum of understanding between the two parties has identified many specific areas of cooperation, including the development of digital learning materials, multimedia content, interactive content, 3D models, and digital maps; while also promoting the digitization of documents, materials, artifacts, heritage, and cultural spaces; building digital data repositories and resources; digital exhibitions; digital experiential spaces; and digital storytelling products.
One of YooTek's shared directions is the desire to gradually form a "mini Metaverse" for the school in the future, where values of history, culture, knowledge, and academic life can be recreated, connected, and experienced in the digital space. To realize this vision, building and standardizing a knowledge base on digital culture is set as a crucial task. This knowledge base can include various types of materials – from images, documents, art, films to multimedia products – thereby creating a foundation for developing digital products with in-depth content.

Building upon these foundations, the collaboration between VNU-USSH and YooTek Holdings is expected to create further milestones in connecting universities and businesses, bringing knowledge in social sciences and humanities closer to technology, and opening up new spaces for the preservation, creation, and dissemination of culture, heritage, and knowledge in the digital environment.
