USSH made a significant contribution to the development of the Circular on Open Educational Resources.

On July 17, 2026, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) officially issued a Circular regulating the exploitation and use of open educational resources in higher education activities, marking the first time Vietnam has had a specialized legal document on open educational resources in higher education. This is the result of a policy-making process involving many experts and higher education institutions nationwide, with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) being one of the pioneering units that collaborated with the MOET from the research, development, and policy-making stages.

On May 20, 2026, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the Faculty of Information Management organized the workshop “Digital Competence in Higher Education: Assessment, Measurement, and Policy Implications” within the framework of the Social Sciences and Humanities Week - SSHWeek 2026. The workshop served as an important academic forum, bringing together administrators, experts, scientists, lecturers, researchers, trainees, and students to exchange ideas on developing digital competence, AI capabilities, and policy implications for Vietnamese higher education in the context of digital transformation.
