Representing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities at the workshop were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Rector), and leaders and lecturers from the Faculty of Management Science.
In his welcoming remarks at the conference, Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong highly appreciated the importance and significance of the conference. In the context of the new normal, organizing the conference is not only an opportunity for scientists to announce new theories and discoveries, but also to propose practical and feasible solutions to contribute to creating an environment that encourages human resources in the public sector and ensures the objectivity of public administration effectiveness. He expressed hope that in the future there will be more conferences and activities so that we can all work together to build a reputable community and network in human resource management, attracting a large number of experts, scientists, businesses, and colleagues from both domestic and international backgrounds to participate.
During the discussion session, the conference heard six presentations from universities, and the delegates engaged in lively discussions focusing on three key issues: Strategies, planning, and policies for developing public sector human resources in Vietnam in the new context; Public human resource management in ministries, departments, and localities in the new context; and The theory and practice of human resource management in public organizations in the new context.
Many delegates commented that human resources in the public sector are a decisive factor in the effective operation of the State apparatus from the central to local levels and are a crucial factor in driving the process of innovation, transforming the growth model, restructuring the economy, creating national competitiveness, and moving towards a knowledge-based, efficient, and sustainable economy. Continuously improving the effectiveness of public sector human resource management in the new context is extremely important and necessary.
Concluding the workshop, Dr. Pham Viet Thang, on behalf of the workshop chairman, emphasized that the reports presented at the workshop and in the proceedings had high scientific content, practical value, and demonstrated diverse approaches to the issues. The workshop proposed many solutions and recommendations to ensure and maximize the potential of public sector human resources in Vietnam in the new context.
