On behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, attending the workshop were Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong - (Vice Rector), Leaders and lecturers of the Faculty of Management Science.
In his welcome speech at the Workshop, Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong highly appreciated the importance and significance of the Workshop. In the new normal context, organizing the Workshop is not only an opportunity for scientists to announce new theories and new discoveries, but also to propose feasible practical solutions to contribute to creating an environment capable of encouraging public sector human resources, ensuring the objectivity of public administration efficiency. Hopefully, in the coming time, there will be more workshops and activities so that we all can join hands to build a community, a prestigious human resource management network, attracting a large number of experts, scientists, businesses, domestic and international colleagues to be interested and participate.
During the discussion session, the Workshop listened to 6 presentations from universities, and the delegates enthusiastically discussed and clarified 3 issues including: Strategy, planning, and policies for human resource development in the public sector in Vietnam in the new context; Management of public human resources in ministries, branches, and localities in the new context; Theory and practice of human resource management of public organizations in the new context.
Many delegates commented that public sector human resources are the decisive factor in the operational efficiency of the State apparatus from the central to local levels and are an important factor leading the process of innovation, transformation of the growth model, restructuring the economy, creating national competitive advantages, moving towards a knowledge-based, efficient and sustainable economy. Continuously improving the effectiveness of public sector human resource management in the new context is an extremely important and necessary issue.
Summarizing the Workshop, Dr. Pham Viet Thang, on behalf of the Workshop Chairman, emphasized: the reports presented at the Workshop and in the proceedings have high scientific content, practical value and demonstrate diverse approaches to the problem. The Workshop proposed many solutions and recommendations to ensure and maximize the human resources of the public sector in Vietnam in the new context.
