Continuing to innovate teaching and learning methods, starting the second semester of the 2011-2012 school year, the School has organized a pilot registration of subjects with selected lecturers with 40 classes in 3 basic subjects: Foundations of Vietnamese Culture, Revolutionary Path of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Basic Principles of Marxism-Leninism 2. Up to now, after half a semester of the pilot, registration of subjects with selected lecturers has received some agreement and support from lecturers and students.
Teachers actively innovate - students are proactive
The form of registering for courses with lecturers creates many opportunities and conditions for students' learning process. Student Nguyen Thu Ha (K56 International Studies) shared: I know the information about registering for courses and selecting lecturers via email from the school. Thanks to that, I can arrange my schedule and register for courses. I find that the implementation of registering for courses with lecturers is more specific than the previous method of registering for courses because students know in advance the information about the lecturers and can also choose the course that fits their schedule.

By registering for a course with a lecturer, students not only proactively arrange their schedules but also proactively seek information about the course, lecturers, and assessment methods through many different sources of information. Duong Thi Bich Hien (K54 Information - Library) said: Before registering for a course with a lecturer, I sought information about the class and lecturer from many sources such as asking seniors, consulting friends about the course, about the teachers teaching that subject to have initial understanding of the subject as well as the lecturers who will teach them. Not only do students see the advantages in the learning process through the form of registering for a course with a lecturer, but lecturers participating in teaching these classes also see positive changes and effects. Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu (lecturer of the Communist Party of Vietnam's Revolutionary Path) said: "When registering for a course, the role of the lecturer is very important. The lecturer stimulates the spirit and attitude of the students. Therefore, the lecturer must perfect and innovate the lecture to meet the expectations of the students." Regardless of the form of teaching, the role of the teacher is still very important and the teachers are always dedicated and devoted to imparting knowledge to generations of students. Associate Professor, Dr. Lam Thi My Dung (lecturer of the Vietnamese Cultural Foundations subject) said: With these classes, perhaps the biggest challenge I face is to understand the wishes and desires of the students, so that when they finish the course, they do not regret their choice. In all classes, I try to update information, find methods of expressing and exchanging knowledge vividly, quickly but fully. In this class, in addition to the existing methods and experiences, I will guide you towards a stronger and more effective interaction.
Still having difficulties
The implementation of course registration for lecturers in some subjects has received active participation from lecturers and students, but there are still some difficulties. Tong Thi Thanh Huyen (K56 Social Work) shared: The biggest difficulty for first-year students like us is that we are new to the university environment, so we are still unfamiliar with our teachers and friends. And a common difficulty that not only me but all students see is that to register for a course, we have to work very hard, sometimes we have to stay up late at night but still cannot register. Sharing more about the difficulties in registering for a course, Nguyen Thu Ha (K56 International Studies) said: Course registration is in the second semester, but for some students, it is influenced by the results of the first semester. Some students did not pass this course in the first semester, but because they do not have the results yet, they cannot register to study again in the next semester.

From the perspective of lecturer Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu, the difficulty in the process of registering to select lecturers today is that: The number of classes registering to select lecturers currently still does not fully meet the wishes of students. And for lecturers participating in teaching, due to the large number of students in a class, there are still problems in dividing into discussion groups.
Expectations from learners and teachers
Both teachers and students have gone through difficulties but the effectiveness of registering for courses with lecturers cannot be denied. Many students have expressed their desire to continue participating in courses with lecturers. "I hope that in the next semester, the school will open more classes with lecturers and widely disseminate them to specialized subjects so that we can register for courses more conveniently" (Ngo Thi Thanh Vi - K55 History). Student Nguyen Thuy Duong (K55 Literature) shared: I hope that information about lecturers will be updated more and in more detail to students. And I hope that teachers will have more flexible and lively teaching methods. Teachers who are always with students on their learning path also hope that registering for courses with lecturers will soon be widely implemented. Master Pham Hoang Giang (lecturer of the subject Basic principles of Marxism-Leninism) said: Registering for courses to select lecturers should be popularized and should be done, not only in basic subjects but also in specialized subjects. Master Pham Hoang Giang emphasized: When registering for courses to select lecturers becomes popular, students will have more information about lecturers to make more careful choices because that is also the right of students.

The implementation of registering for courses to select lecturers is still new and there are many difficulties that need to be overcome soon, but this will be one of the important and breakthrough improvements to bring credit training into depth, bringing the most practical results to learners. As Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lam Thi My Dung shared: Improvements and efforts of both teachers and students will achieve the ultimate goal of the training process, which is to ensure quality, output capacity, and graduates who meet the needs of society.
