Textbook "Indian Customs and Practices" by author Do Thu Ha (Associate Professor, PhD, Faculty of Oriental Studies) published by Hanoi National University Publishing House in 2012.

From a Journalism student who loved making films, up to now, Ha Thai (real name is Bui Thi Ha, former student of K53, Faculty of Journalism and Communication - University of Social Sciences and Humanities) has won two awards at the Golden Lotus Film Festival 2011 and the Silver Kite Award for short films 2012.

USSH introduced 05 projects using students as research subjects and received the Award from the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

The news that Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hai Ke had passed away after more than 10 days in the hospital shocked and saddened many teachers, colleagues, friends, and students of all generations of the Faculty of History. For nearly 2 weeks, friends, colleagues, and students took turns staying at the hospital, hoping to provide timely encouragement and strength for the Professor and his family. However, the bad developments came too quickly. The overwhelming love of everyone, the dedication of doctors and nurses, and the best medical advances could not help the Professor return to his family, friends, and colleagues.

In 1981, for some reasons, we, the 26th class of the History Department, entered school late. Fortunately, in the first hour, the first day of our student life, we listened to Mr. Tran Quoc Vuong teach about Archaeology from an interdisciplinary approach. It can be said that it was the strange attraction from those first lectures of the teachers, the dedicated and talented scientists of the History Department that kept many of us in the History Department and determined to follow the teachers in doing history, teaching history...

1. In 1974, after graduating from the famous Ngo Quyen High School in Hai Phong city, the young man Nguyen Hai Ke became a student of the 15th course of the History Department of Hanoi University of Science (now the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi). Unlike many people who were "forced" to enter the History Department (although they later became passionate about history and became famous historians), Nguyen Hai Ke came to history voluntarily. Majoring in Vietnamese Ancient and Medieval History, he was taught, trained, and imparted not only knowledge but also a burning passion by famous teachers of the Department. Graduating with honors, he became a lecturer of the Department and has been attached to the History Department, to the profession of making history, to the profession of being a history teacher since then. After years of his youth devoting himself to the Youth Union movement, in 1987 he was sent to the Soviet Union to study, to do his thesis for Associate Doctorate and then Doctorate.

Continuing the tradition of the former Hanoi National University, the female staff of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is increasingly developing, making great contributions to all aspects of the University's activities. The proportion of female staff holding leadership positions is also increasing. In addition, the University also has many policies to support female staff in life, while creating an open environment for them to develop their abilities. Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Xuan Khang - Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Chairman of the University's Trade Union - discussed with reporters about this issue.

At the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the number of female cadres working in leadership and management positions is increasing and accounts for a fairly high proportion (40% of leadership positions at all levels). They are shouldering heavy responsibilities and contributing their efforts and enthusiasm to many different areas of the University's activities.
