Attending the signing ceremony, on behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Rector) and leaders from the Training, Cooperation and Development, Student Affairs and Student Support, Administration - General Affairs, the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities, the Faculty of Psychology, and the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Social Sciences.
Representing FPT Group and Hope School were Ms. Truong Thanh Thanh (Chairperson of the Hope Foundation), Mr. Nguyen The Phuong (Deputy General Director of FPT Group), Ms. Tran Thi Thu Ha (Head of the Party and Youth Union Committee of FPT Group), and Mr. Hoang Quoc Quyen (Executive Director of Hope School).
Vice Principal Dao Thanh Truong emphasized that serving the community has always been identified by the Board of Directors as a key task in the school's strategy.
In his opening remarks, Vice Rector Dao Thanh Truong shared: "The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is one of the leading universities in the country in training and scientific research in the field of social sciences and humanities. Throughout its nearly 80-year journey and in its future development strategy, besides focusing on enhancing its position in training and scientific research, the University prioritizes its mission of serving the community. Over the past two years, the whole world has been shaken by the Covid-19 pandemic, and although the disease is now under control, the consequences are immense, with thousands of children orphaned after their parents and relatives were tragically lost due to the pandemic. The University's Board of Directors deeply appreciates the idea of establishing the Hope School, a place that not only nurtures but also provides education for children to have a bright future. We are proud and honored to partner with FPT Group and many businesses and philanthropists nationwide in this noble endeavor."

Ms. Truong Thanh Thanh highly appreciated the school's support in the journey of giving love and hope to disadvantaged children.
Representing FPT Group and the Hope Foundation, Ms. Truong Thanh Thanh expressed her emotion at returning to her former school (when it was Hanoi University of Science and Technology), especially at receiving the noble commitment of the school's leadership and teachers to support disadvantaged students after the Covid-19 pandemic. She emphasized: "We can provide them with food and clothing, but the teachers are the ones who sow the seeds of knowledge and soul so that later they can build a bright future for themselves and others. The journey of raising these children will be extremely difficult and long, but we believe we will succeed because we will always have the support and cooperation of experts in education, psychology, and social work from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities."
As one of the first members of the Hope School's administration, Teacher Hoang Quoc Quyen (also a former student of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) cannot forget the days spent traveling across the country to gather students who had lost loved ones or parents during the Covid-19 pandemic. The "Hope" journey stretched from North to South, from lowlands to highlands, with the joint efforts of the FPT family, the Hope Foundation, and many generous donors, bringing over 200 students from 41 provinces and cities, comprising 6 ethnic groups, to Hope School. In the 2023-2024 school year, Hope School hopes to welcome 500 students back to reunite with their families and will continue its journey of love, gathering children who unfortunately lost loved ones or parents during the Covid-19 pandemic from all over the country.

Mr. Hoang Quoc Quyen (Executive Director of Hope School) was deeply moved when recalling the image of the first students gathered at the school, carrying within them the pain, trauma, and mental panic of the terrible consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic.
At the end of the ceremony, representatives from both institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of training and school psychology counseling. Under this agreement, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will sponsor 100 scholarships (full tuition for 4 years of university) for students from Hope School who are admitted to the University. Furthermore, the University will continue to support Hope School students in organizing psychological counseling, mental health care, life skills education, and other activities.
The students in the Son Club welcomed the younger students with a lively and cheerful song.
The students of Hope School (the youngest being 5 years old and the oldest 17) performed the song "Dust of Chalk" with all their hearts and gratitude to their teachers. Behind them is a photograph taken not long ago when Principal Hoang Anh Tuan and Vice Principal Dao Thanh Truong visited Hope School in Da Nang to give gifts to the children. The confident faces on stage today, with radiant smiles, are the well-deserved reward for the tireless efforts of the teachers and the children themselves in overcoming physical and emotional pain. Teacher Dao Thanh Truong was moved when he recalled the moment he witnessed the children clinging to their teachers as if seeking the warmth of a father or mother.
The students of Hope School created this painting themselves as a gift to the school.
Vice Principal Dao Thanh Truong, on behalf of the school's management board, presented gifts to the students of Hope School.
Vice Principal Dao Thanh Truong presented a commemorative gift, the school's logo, to Mr. Hoang Quoc Quyen (Executive Director of Hope School).
The ceremony concluded with the students of Hope School chanting the "10 Vows" of Hopers: to be well-behaved, diligent, united, loving, sharing, responsible, and, upon growing up, to bring their love and sharing to underprivileged children, just as they themselves had experienced.
