On July 11th, the Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), together with the affiliated Youth Unions, Student Associations, and Clubs/Teams under the Youth Union and Student Association, successfully organized the "Summer Volunteer Campaign Launch Ceremony, Summer Volunteer Training, and Summary of Volunteer Activities for the 2024 Exam Support Campaign".
Attending the ceremony were Comrade Ta Thi Bich Ngoc - Secretary of the Youth Union of the school, Comrade Duong Tat Thanh - Deputy Secretary and President of the Student Union of the school, Comrade Dao Tuan Anh - Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Inspection Committee of the Youth Union of the school, along with the participation of more than 100 volunteers from the volunteer teams under the school.
Comrade Duong Tat Thanh - Deputy Secretary and President of the Student Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - presented the summary report of the 2024 "Supporting the Exam Season" volunteer campaign.
In the summary report of the 2024 "Supporting the Exam Season" volunteer campaign, Comrade Duong Tat Thanh shared: During this campaign, the Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities had 6 teams supporting the exam season with a total of 431 volunteers. According to the report, the volunteer teams successfully completed key tasks in supporting candidates and ensuring security and order at the exam sites. The volunteers in each team were always proactive, enthusiastic, and dedicated to their work, demonstrating a spirit of solidarity. The teams always received enthusiastic guidance and support from the Youth Union and Student Association of the University, as well as from relevant agencies and organizations. The teams and volunteers received affection and support from candidates, parents, and the local community.

The "Supporting Students During Exam Season 2024" volunteer activity was one of the key activities in the 2024 summer volunteer campaign. The campaign was a resounding success, further highlighting the dynamic, enthusiastic, creative, and always dedicated and pioneering spirit of the Humanities students..
Certificates of commendation were awarded to volunteer teams that made positive contributions to the 2024 Exam Support Volunteer Program.
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Ta Thi Bich Ngoc - Secretary of the Youth Union - shared: Volunteering is an activity with great significance for society in general and students in particular. Based on the spirit of voluntarism and enthusiasm, VNU-USSH volunteers have contributed to spreading humanitarian values and mutual support to the community. Through this, with the spirit of "giving is receiving," participating in volunteer activities has many benefits for students themselves, creating opportunities to experience new things, develop relationships, soft skills, as well as professional and social knowledge.
According to Comrade Ta Thi Bich Ngoc, this year, the Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, has received contributions and suggestions for developing new volunteer initiatives, initially combining professional knowledge with charitable work, enhancing the humanitarian value and practicality of the activities.
In anticipation of the upcoming summer volunteer season, the Secretary of the Youth Union reminded the students to maintain good health, stay united, fully fulfill their assigned duties and plans, and affirm the value of humanities students and the university to the community and society.
Trinh Phuong Uyen, Deputy Team Leader of the 2024 Summer Volunteer Team, representing over 170 volunteers, stated: "The goal of the volunteers – of the youth of the University of Hanoi – is to bring youthful energy, determination, and volunteer spirit to help people in disadvantaged areas. We carry the motto: 'When we leave, people remember us; when we stay, people love us; when we work, people trust us.' Participating in the Summer Volunteer Program is about experiencing life, being away from home, eating and living with the people, and stepping into unfamiliar places to apply the knowledge learned in the classroom to real-life situations."
Each volunteer must strive to spread their passion and noble values with the goal of giving love and sharing happiness. With the belief and enthusiasm of youth, the volunteers in their green shirts are ready for a new journey. The upcoming vibrant Green Summer promises to be the most enthusiastic and brilliant volunteer season yet.
