On December 28th, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) - along with other faculty members, visited and presented gifts to international students at the Me Tri dormitory ahead of the 2024 New Year's holiday. As an annual activity during the Lunar New Year season, these gifts, personally handed to each student, represent the university's affection and concern for the students' well-being.

On behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong expressed gratitude to the faculty and staff of the Me Tri Dormitory Management Board and the Student Support Center - Vietnam National University, Hanoi for their care and support for students and international students. Especially during the two years when the Covid-19 pandemic was developing in a complex manner, the Me Tri Dormitory, the Management Board, and the Student Support Center worked together to create the best possible conditions – building the image of the Me Tri Dormitory as a second home for international students far from home.

Looking ahead to the coming years, Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong hopes that, with the motto "Connecting with the student body, listening to students," the Management Board and the Student Support Center will continue to develop the Me Tri Dormitory to become even more beautiful, strengthening the image of a friendly and modern international student village in the eyes of foreign students. Accordingly, Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong expects the Me Tri Dormitory and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to continue supporting students in finding and creating part-time job opportunities to increase their income and to exchange and learn practical experience.

Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong and faculty members from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities visited each room to personally deliver 134 gifts to students at the Me Tri Dormitory. The students received encouragement and support from the faculty, who promised to assist them throughout their studies at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. With each gift, the University hopes to bring joy and warmth to the international students on New Year's Day, spreading the image of the humane and hospitable nature of the Vietnamese people.

Mr. Nguyen Dai Thang (Head of Me Tri Dormitory Management Board), on behalf of the staff and students in the dormitory, expressed his gratitude to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. With the motto of building a green, clean, beautiful, and friendly dormitory and continuously improving it, the Me Tri Dormitory Management Board will constantly strive to affirm its quality and become a trusted address for students both domestically and internationally.
It is known that every year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities welcomes between 400 and 800 foreign students to study at the university. The Student Support Center of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) has the mission of creating a favorable living environment for the learning, training, and scientific research of VNU students; effectively organizing support services for students, contributing to improving the quality of VNU's education. The Student Support Center has continuously developed and innovated to provide resident students with the best possible spiritual and academic life.
The Me Tri Dormitory is located within the premises of 182 Luong The Vinh Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi, comprising two five-story and two four-story buildings with 294 rooms and a capacity of 1900 beds, offering various room types. 82% of the student rooms are equipped with air conditioning. The rooms are for students, researchers, and postgraduate students from the following institutions: the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the University of Natural Sciences, and the High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences. In addition, the Me Tri Dormitory also provides housing for international students and experts studying and working at Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
