The Compass 2026, themed “Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence – Reshaping Tourism,” attracted participation from students from numerous universities in Hanoi. Following the preliminary round, outstanding teams qualified for the Final Round, creating a platform for interaction among students from different educational institutions.

The program also provides an opportunity for students to exchange approaches and broaden their understanding of the industry.
In the Final Round, the competition system is designed to combine professional knowledge with presentation skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, and situational awareness. Teams have the opportunity to apply their knowledge of tourism, culture, destinations, and tourism business activities to solve the requirements set forth in each competition section.
Beyond just a competition, the program also provides an opportunity for students to exchange approaches, broaden their understanding of the industry, and learn from each other in an environment involving multiple educational institutions. It's also a chance for young people studying and interested in the tourism field to share their perspectives on the industry's development in the current context.
World Tourism Day on September 27th is an opportunity for the international tourism community to reflect on the industry's contributions to the economy, society, and culture, and to discuss the challenges facing tourism development.

With the theme “Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence – Reshaping Tourism,” this year’s competition focuses on the changes occurring under the impact of digital technology and artificial intelligence. These are also issues increasingly present in product development, destination management, communication, service distribution, and enhancing the visitor experience.
According to Mr. Pham Hong Long, Chairman of the Science and Training Council, organizing the Compass 2026 Finals, leading up to World Tourism Day, is an opportunity for students to access and exchange ideas on contemporary issues in the industry through a format suitable for learners. The program's content is implemented in a way that encourages students to apply their knowledge, proactively explore practical situations, and express their views on changes in the tourism sector.

The Compass 2026 Final Round concludes the series of activities celebrating World Tourism Day on September 27th by the Faculty of Tourism Studies, while also opening up further connections between students from different training institutions and experts and organizations in the industry. Through this, the program contributes to creating a learning environment connected to practice, encouraging students to proactively update themselves on the latest developments in the tourism industry and prepare for their future studies and careers.
