(Labor Newspaper) The Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, has played a central academic role, pioneering in training and research for the past 30 years.

The Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, announces the organization of a ceremony to celebrate its 30th anniversary (1995 – 2025) and to welcome Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20th. The event is organized with the official message: "30 Years of Humanistic Tourism - Spreading Wings to the Future".

This is the content of the international scientific conference on the theme "Contemporary Issues in Tourism Research" organized by the Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi today, October 17, 2025, with the participation of numerous scientists, diplomats, organizations, and businesses from both within and outside the country.

This year, the Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, is honored to have two outstanding students selected to participate. This program aims to encourage research on cultural heritage, strengthen global youth connections, promote intercultural cooperation, and build a sense of responsibility among young people towards the sustainable development of humanity.

According to Dr. Vu Huong Lan (Deputy Head of the Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities), graduates in Tourism and Travel Service Management are not limited to tour guides; they can pursue a wide variety of other jobs requiring skills, expertise, and passion.

Within the framework of the course "Cultural Issues in Tourism," the study and field survey program from May 18-20, 2025, provided postgraduate students of the 6th and 7th cohorts of the Faculty of Tourism Studies with the opportunity to gain in-depth understanding of the distinctive cultural values ​​of the Southwestern Mekong Delta region.

That is the action slogan unanimously adopted by all party members of the Tourism Studies Faculty Party Branch, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) at the Party Branch Congress for the 2025-2027 term, held on the morning of March 17, 2025.

These were memorable experiences for students of the Tourism Studies department during their comprehensive internship, evocatively titled: "A Journey Covered in Sunshine."

This is an opportunity for students majoring in Tourism and Travel Service Management, Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, to practice the knowledge they have accumulated during their first two years of university in the field.

With two training programs, Tourism and Travel Service Management and Hotel Management, the Faculty of Tourism Studies not only provides students with scientific theoretical foundations in this field but also brings them practical values ​​during their studies.

The "Dạ Lan Canh" talk show and art performance, organized by Little Stars – a group of event management students from the Faculty of Tourism, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi – on the evening of May 13th, received support from many artists and audience members.

On May 3rd, 2024, at the Ho Chi Minh Presidential Palace, the team from the Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, participated in the Final Round of the "On-site Tour Guide Competition at the Ho Chi Minh Presidential Palace Historical Site". In the final round, the team of students from the Faculty of Tourism Studies won the Encouragement Award in both the individual and team categories.

This was the topic discussed at the National Tourism Conference themed "Applying Digital Technology, Exploiting Heritage Values, and Serving Sustainable Tourism Development in Vietnam," jointly organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, and Van Lang University on April 19, 2024.

On December 10, 2023, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) solemnly held a ceremony commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Government's Decree on VNU and 117 years of tradition (1906-2023) at the VNU Urban Area (Hoa Lac). This was an opportunity for VNU to summarize its achievements, evaluate and draw lessons, thereby preserving its traditions and core values, fostering pride, solidarity, and consensus in building and implementing VNU's development strategy in the new phase.

On November 17, 2023, the Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), enthusiastically organized the FTS Show titled “Symphonie” (Symphony), to express gratitude to generations of teachers on the occasion of Vietnam Teachers' Day, November 20, and to welcome new students of the K68 cohort.
